你的話感動了我的心。
Taehyung POV
12:00 pm

I waited patiently for the lunch bell to ring. My palms had started to sweat. I kept glancing at Jimin for support, but he could only smile weakly. Due to yesterday's unfortunate incident, Mr Kim decided to swap our seats. Thank god it did not include me having to sit with Jeon Jungkook.

I tried to recall the words that Kookie said last night. Something about... being fine and ok. Being brave. I chewed my lips as I began a silent countdown to lunch.

10.

Jungkook turned around and sneered at me, welding his middle finger.

9.

Jimin gave me a thumbs up of encouragement.

8.

I grabbed my already packed bag and headed straight towards the cafeteria.

7.

I waited at Jungkook's usual table.

6.

Jungkook's friends eyed me suspiciously, but let me be.

5.

I took a deep breath as Jungkook strolled into the room.

4.

He raised an annoyed eyebrow at me.

3.

I cleared my throat, and regret crept up my throat. Shit. Maybe I shouldn't.

2.

From my usual table, Jimin smiled at me and gave me a look of urge.

1.

"I need to talk to you, Jungkook," I said firmly. "Right now."

"Seriously? What is this, a confrontation?" He smirked. "Don't tell me it's a confrontation." I crossed my arms impatiently. I felt my heart thump rapidly.

"I'm done with you treating me like your punch bag," I said sharply. "What did I ever do to you?"

"So this is a confrontation," He rolled his eyes. "I'm not gonna answer any of your dumbass questions." He tried to walk past me and sit down, but I grabbed his arm tightly.

"Why do you do this," I growled. "What did I do to you." He pressed his lips firmly together.

"No."

"Why? Just answer me. You scared or something?"

"No!"

"Then why?! Why do you do this to me?" I yelled, throwing down his arm. "Jeon Jungkook, you're an asshole."

Whack.

A slap was sent across my cheek. I gasped in shock. Jungkook had never hurt me as badly as this. My face ached most furiously, and I was sure I was shedding blood. The cafeteria went silent. I heard Jimin patter up to me and he grabbed me by the waistband.

"Walk away Tae," He whispered into my neck that was red with anger. "Please, this has gone far enough."

I was fuming. He fucking hit me. He hit me. I glanced around at the crowd that had gathered. They were whispering and side eyeing. Jungkook shot daggers at me with his eyes. I curled my lips angrily.

"A complete stranger in my apartment complex decided to apologize for the bullying you've been doing to me," I swallowed. "He didn't know me, or you, but the apology he gave was better than anything you'll ever be able to give me."

With that, I turned around and stormed away.

Jungkook POV

A stranger in his apartment complex. Apologized for my actions.

I walked through the hallways, keeping my head down so no one would recognise me. For better cover, I headed towards the boy's changing room.

The room was silent and steamy, incredibly stuffy, as the football team must've played earlier. I locked myself into a shower stall and I sat down on the tiny bench, breathless with shock and confusion.

Could Taehyung...

Could Taehyung have been talking about me?

Vivid flashbacks poured over me like ice water. Ones that showed me the wall behind my bedframe, the mysteries yet comforting voice in that spoke from behind that wall.

I was the one who apologized.

I pressed a hand to my chest and took a breath. My heart had calmed slightly, but it was still racing.

The changing room door opened. I held my breath.

"Jungkook?"

I exhaled.

"Namjoon hyung."

With a shaky finger, I nudged the lock open and the door of my stall swung out. I looked up, part startled part relieved. There was something calming about Namjoon. The way his deer brown eyes were always hidden behind fashionable gold frames, the way he dressed smartly but comfortably, and how his blonde hair was always swept in an effortless yet stylish way. Recently, he had dyed blue streaks into his already bleached hair, and the principal hated him for it.

"What happened, Kook? I literally just got to the cafeteria when you ran off." He slipped into the stall with me and sat down quietly beside me. "Are you okay?"

"No- no I'm not okay," I said, still completely overwhelmed. "There's- there's a lot I haven't told you about."

-----------------------

"Let me get this straight," Namjoon said at last, after listening to my explanation. "You've been talking to a stranger on the other side of your bedroom wall for two nights, and you think it's Kim Taehyung?"

"Not think," I interrupted. "Know."

"How exactly do you know again?" He raised his eyebrows questioningly.

"H-he repeated exactly what I said last night," I said. "And we were talking about confrontation last night too."

"That's not good evidence," Namjoon smirked. "That's a suspicion." I slammed my fist into the wall.

"UGH FINE," I yelled exasperatedly. "Maybe it isn't good evidence, but trust me on this hyung." Namjoon crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows higher than they already were.

"How about this," He offered. "You record your conversation with him tonight, and send it to me. Then we'll see if it's really Kim Taehyung we're talking about."

I cracked my knuckles and stared at the ground.

"Sure, I can do that."

(A/n: So the confrontation didn't go well. Now Jungkook has to get evidence. Who knows? Taehyung might not even be there at night... 😏)
