My Only Soul

Chapter 2

After walking for 20 minutes I finally reached the mall where my friend was suppose to meet me. Where is she? She was meant to be here by now. My phone buzzed indicating that I got a message and when I opened it Anna texted me that she'll be 10 minutes late due to traffic.

I'm not going to wait that long for her while not doing anything so I decided to go to Starbucks for a drink. Of course I got my usual which is coffee and waited while the person at the counter got me what I wanted.

"Here you go Miss. That will be £1.39" I handed the worker the money and headed out of Starbucks sipping on my amazing coffee. I was so focused on drinking that I didn't see the person that was in front of me, so I bumped into them and the impact caused my drink to spill all over them.

"Seriously!" The person said to themselves and as I looked up I could see that I bumped into a handsome man dressed in a white button up or more like brown due to the coffee that I spilled, black pants and glasses. Damn he's cute. Wait I already have a boyfriend, I should stop gawking at other men.

"I-im so sorry. It's all my fault. Please let me buy you a new shirt since I ruined yours." I slightly panicked that he'll yell at me, as he looked pretty pissed off and some of his visible tattoos made him look quite intimidating.

"It's fine so forget about it. Shit, it's not working." The guy tries to turn his phone on but to no avail as it doesn't turn on. Turns out I not only got him wet but ruined his phone. Good job Eden for making his life worse.

"I can pay for a new one. After all it's my fault." I try to help him as I do feel bad for destroying his day but he was being stubborn and refused.

"I said it's fine. I'm going to be late." He looked at me for a split second then started to walk away annoyed that he's now going to be late.

Fantastic. Just great. I already managed to destroy someone's day, I should just lock myself in my room and never come out, that would be best for the world.

"Hey!" Anna shouted to get my attention as she got closer to me.
"I'm sorry for being late but never mind that. Who's that cutie you spilled your drink on ey?"

"Don't even start Anna. I'm such a clutz and already managed to ruin someone's day." I sigh at my clumsy self, while hating myself for it.

"Oh shut up Eden. You blessed every woman in here. Did you not see those amazing, juicy and well toned abbs? I saw them from far away and trust me it was a blessing sent by god and every girl here would agree." She chuckled as she started to visualize it again.

"No I didn't because I already have a boyfriend and don't need to look at other men's abbs." I lied. Of course I saw his muscles, and if I was being honest they did impress me. But I'll never admit that to her.

"Liar~. Also stop with the goddamn 'i have a boyfriend' crap and live a little. That Lucas asshole is bad for you and I swear if i see him do anything bad to you he can say goodbye to his little friend." I chuckled a bit as she made a gesture of cutting something off. I know her well enough to know that she despises Lucas but only tolerates him for me.

"He's not that bad. Tell me what's so bad about him." I asked but I already knew what she's was going to say, as I know how bad he can be but I still love him.

"Really? Fine. He's a drug addict, abuses you, uses you for money and all he thinks about is trying get into your pants. I also wouldn't be surprised if that prick cheated on you."

I want to argue with her and say that everything that she says is wrong but I can't as she's right, she's always right. I can't break up with him not matter how much my mind would want to as my stupid heart loves him.

"Let's just go and have some fun as that's the reason I made you come out." Anna smiled at me as she intertwined her arm with mine and pulled me with her to different shops around the mall, so that I could help her pick an outfit for her date. Since we're already shopping I decided to buy something for myself as well and soon we became quite tired from wondering around shops for 2 hours.

"Does ice-cream sound good?" Anna nudged my shoulder and pointer to the ice-cream stall.

"Yes. Let's go." We walked to the stall and brought our ice-cream. I got vanilla while she got chocolate.

Since we have nothing better to do we just sat in silence watching everything around us. While looking around I spotted the same guy I bumped into and he seemed to be accompanied by a small cheerful girl, maybe around 5 years old. The man has changed his shirt into a black button up with his sleeves rolled up half way. Even though he still held that scary and intimidating aura around him he seemed to be slightly more happy as a smile appeared on his face, while the little girl dragged him everywhere. She held onto the man's hand and swung it back and forth as she jumped up and down while walking. She looked quite similar to him so maybe his daughter? Or maybe sister?

Soon my thoughts got interrupted by Anna snapping her fingers near my face.

"Earth to Eden, what's going o-...ohhhh cutie detected. Maybe you should get his number." I looked at Anna with disbelif as she winked at me and smirked like a devil.

"No. Quit it with that guy. Sure he's cute but I got Lucas.Also I doubt that  guy would want to see my again after what I did."

"Fine. But remember you're missing out. Omg! Look how cute he looks with that girl on his back. It makes him look less scary haha."

As I tried to look my vision suddenly turned black.

"Guess who~" A familiar voice whispered into my ear. Not only could I tell it was Lucas by his voice but also by the annoyed grunt that escaped from my best friend.

"Lucas!" I stood up and hugged him while he gave me quick peck on the lips.

"Yup. Lovely to see you too. Now care to hangout hot stuff?" He asked while looking at me with puppy dog eyes. I looked at Anna and it was clear that she was made at him for interrupting our day out.

"Sorry Lucas, but I'm hanging out with Anna right now. Maybe some other time." As I said that I could see Anna smile that I chose her.

"Come on baby I want to hangout. She can come too if she wants." His eyes indicated that he was getting mad and his grip on my wait tightened.

"I said n-"

"Go. Just go. Eden go and have fun with this thing and I'll talk to you later." She flashed me a quick smile and started to walk away not wanting to start an argument.

"Now that we're alone baby and that bitch is gone let's go to the club." Lucas kissed me once more and grabbed my hand forcefully, dragging me to the club. When I tried to talk he'd shut me up so I stayed quiet.

As I was looking around I could see the guy with the little girl look at me briefly, yet I couldn't read the emotion that was on his face. He was soon pulled gently as the little girl walked into a shop and I was dragged into the club, away from the calm atmosphere.
