My Only Soul

Chapter 4

Silence. It's as if the loud music and the sounds of people suddenly disappeared without a trace. A sudden burst of freezing air enveloped my body sending shivers down my spine. The metallic taste mixed with the taste of blood as it started to choke me so I couldn't breath or say another word.

My memory is very hazy as I can't remember what has happened at this moment in time. I know I was hanging out with my best friend Anna, after spilling coffee all over this handsome and mysterious looking guy that I walked into. Then out of nowhere my boyfriend came to me wanting to hang out. He pleaded and made Anna angry so she let me go with him and he dragged me into this nasty club, but then what happened?

What happened afterwards is the only thing I can't seem to remember...No...wait I-I can remember hearing a loud gunshot being fired inside the club as I fell down onto the hard dirty floor, while the screams and cries of people echoed through the club, as darkness enveloped me.

I groan as I try to move my numb hands that I can't even feel, it's as if they weren't there. No movement occurred even when I put all my energy to move at least move my finger. This is quite odd. Why can't I move?

After what felt like eternity a masculine voice spread across the entire place as hurried footsteps seemed to come near me. Untill I finally feel someone put their head onto the left side of my chest where my heart it. Whatever they heard must have panicked them as I could hear the fast taps of someone dialing a number, which I could already guess would be an ambulance due to the fact that I most likely look horrendous right now.

I decide to finally give up on trying to make my body move as it gave no sign of ever moving at my command. My mind went blank as sleep has consumed me and let all the dreams flow across in my mind...

Bright lights torture my eyes as I feel like not getting up yet, but have no choice as the light keeps burning my eyes and I can't fall asleep. I slowly open my eyes which hurts like hell as I must have been out for quite some time. Now that my eyes are fixated on the ceiling I try moving my hands slightly which seems to now work to my own surprise, as I though I'd have to walk around with arms similar to that blowed up stick figure that sways in all directions due to the wind.

Since I'm able to now move I grab the sides of the bed and manoeuvre my legs over to one side so I'm in a sitting position while my feet touch the ground. For some odd reason I now feel super refreshed as if I just had the best rest I ever had in a while. I decide to stretch my arms and legs which made a slight cracking sound that satisfies me everytime I do it. Now that I'm fully awake I get off the bed and take small steps walking around the room. The scent of hand sanitizers, medicine and death fills my nostrils indicating that the building I'm in must definitely be a hospital.

I walked around and got bored rather quickly so I decided to go back to bed and have some more sleep since I have nothing better to do. But as I turned around to face my bed I stopped... something or rather someone is lying in my hospital bed and they seem to have a familiar aura around them as if I know them.

When I reach the side of the bed adrenaline and horror fill me.

"Oh god...nonono! T-This can't be hap-pening. No...It's not true!"
Tears fall down my cheeks as I come face to face with nothing other than my lifeless body,pale face and emotion ridden features. This body Is mine.

"You're finally awake." I turn around and wipe my eyes to get rid of the blurrines caused by my salty tears. Near the door stands a little boy that seems to be happy yet hides many secrets. The ghostly figure looks back at me as it smiles and approaches me slowly.

"Who a-are you?" I ask as I stand in place completely paralyzed to the core not being able to move all over again. The boy finally reaches me and holds my hand in his while looking me in the eyes.
