So last time our hero Josh told you who he was, and how he had met the great Percy Jackson, now it is time for a new quest the likes of which is unlikely that you have ever seen before. We continue one year after their brief introductions.
Josh's POV
Lord Zeus looked up and scratched his bearded chin like he was thinking about something. Then he looked down towards us from atop his massive throne and said "Uhh, yes, that's all well and good, but that's not why we summoned you here last year."
"It's not?" I asked mostly out of shock "Nope." was the reply I got. "Then what was the reason for summoning us here, your majesty? If I may ask?"
"You may, and you did. The reason as to why we summoned you here was to send out on another quest, an-"
"Father, why must we trust this male with such important quests. Any one of my hunters could easily do as good of a job if not better than this boy." Artemis chimed in successfully interrupting her dad, she even managed to use those masculine pronouns as if they were insults of the highest caliber. I answered her question "Lady Artemis, would you be willing to send one of your maidens though the perils that these quests demand, without any help or contact with home until they have returned... even if they return at all in the first place?" She looked at me like I have just spoken ill of her precious Hunt (which I didn't... right??? Please for the love of the gods tell if I'm wrong)
"You think none of my hunters could accomplish the quests you have done thus far?" She asked, her face turning red with anger.
"No, my lady, I think nothing of the sort, if anything I would agree with you... to a point. What I was trying to say was, are you willing to put the life of one of your hunters on the line in a strange and potentially terrifying new land or world, where she would be unable to call home or get any help if she by any chance needed it? That was the question I was asking."
"Oh, I... I see your point, and what do you mean you'd agree with me to a point?"
"Well, I mean yes, I agree that a few if not all your hunters could do as good a job as me, however I disagree that given the circumstances of the topic at hand, that your hunters could do a better job than I can, unless we were to send more than one person at any one given point in time." I said making a great effort to keep my tone calm and level when remembering some of the quests I have went on recently.
"And what do you mean by that, male?" There she goes again use the masculine pronoun as an insult.
"What I mean by this, Lady Artemis, is that in my travels I have come across situations where a man would do the job better than a woman, and vice versa, where a woman would do a better job than a man, and I have seen situations where neither gender could do a better job than the other, as well as ones where the best idea would be for man and woman to work together to get the job done. Therefore all in all, I believe that no man or woman could do a better job alone, but as a team they could get it done better than either of them could have done so alone, and as such I here by suggest that the Olympian council sends a team of two or more, one male and one female at least, on these quests." I finished with the idea I've been cooking up since my third journey to another world... I shudder just thinking about it, world full of hot and beautiful women... with no other guy supposedly on the face of their world. I still have nightmares about it, not that I'm gay or anything, it was just too much for any one man to deal with. I couldn't even get a decent night's sleep there, they continually chased me everywhere. I mean you know how big zombie hordes can get right... well this was at least ten times worse than that. Anyway while I was deep in these spine tingling, blood chilling thoughts, the Olympians were discussing my suggestion. I was snapped back to the present when I heard Zeus calling my name.
