The Wolves Keep Coming

♣ Chapter 13 ♣

♣ Dream Land ♣

I was in a field. And it would've been beautiful. If not for the blood. The gore. The bodies strewn across every where. The sky a crimson red and the horizon a charcoal black. The Sun, a large white orb sinking ever so slightly behind the horizon. The trees lining the field chared. The stream was thick with blood.

A blood chilling laugh erupted throughout the meadow. Making the trees snap in half. The stream waver. The hills shake.

" You did this. You know that right? Your the one who killed them. Just by knowing them. Just by knowing them you put a target on them. Just by knowing them you gave them to Death. Signed, sealed and ever so neatly packed. Every where you go you bring Death, Destruction and Chaos. They walk beside you as old friends. They have been there ever since you were born. Your the reason this valley is blackened and lifeless. This is your past, present, and future. You are the one that kills them all. The ones you love and hold dearest. You'll become the monster that you so desperately try to pin on someone else. But in reality your the one that will bring the world to its knees. The one who will kill the whole world. Every where you go you bring a shower of blood along and you're the one that starts it all. And you will end EVERYTHING! " She screamed.

I dropped to my knees holding my bleeding ears. I couldn't tell where the voice was coming from until she appeared in front of me. I stood and looked at her. My jaw hit the ground.

She was me. She was the monster in me. And that monster was me. I was my own enemy. I was the monster I was trying to keep myself from, myself and everyone else. And it was me.

" What a shocker! I know right? That terrible nightmare when you realize that your a monster. Then you try to conceal it from everyone else and it becomes worse. Then you conceal yourself and become a heartless bitch. And then the ones you love reject you because you're now crazy. Then last but not least you kill everything you once knew and then you love it so much you kill everything in this world and once it's all done you lay down to rest one last time before you're sent to the firey deapths of hell. Or the pits of tartarus in the underworld. But in reality sweetheart, there is no way to escape it. And the more you fight it, the worse it gets. So come with me now and save yourself from the war you will lose." She said and held out her hand.

I looked at her hand then stared her straight in the eyes for five terribly long seconds.

" No." I said and turned to walk away.

" NO?!" she screached.

" No." I replied simply turning and looking at me. She was enraged.

" I AM YOUR MONSTER AND I SHALL WIN!" She yelled.

" No. You are my inner demon. I am my own monster. And if I wish to let it out I shall. You can terrorize me all you want. You can win all the battles you want. But in the end I will win the war because you are a demon and I am the monster. I will destroy you because you don't matter." I replied cooly and turned to walk away.

" NEVER!" she hissed.

" Good bye." I said and I was about to turn when blue flames erupted around her. I simply turned and walk away. She let out an ear piercing scream. I dropped to my knees covering my ears tightly.

I didn't realize my eyes were closed until I looked down at the blood covered ground.

Only this time I was meet with lush green grass. I blinked a couple times. But each time I was meet with the same lush grass.

When I finally looked up I wasn't meet with blood, gore, mangled bodies, red skies, blackened horizons, chared trees, blood streams or bright white orbs. Nope. I was meet with a lush green field. Thick green forests. A sparkling stream and deer grazing. Wolves playing. Birds singing and fish jumping up out of the water and back in. Horses were galloping and butterflies flitting around randomly. And a sun. A beautiful golden yellow sphere.

" Come. Off the ground my sweet little mate." said a deep sexy manly voice. I stood at attention immediately. A pair of strong hands gripped my shoulders. I didn't get a chance to see his face because I was smashed against his large broad muscley chest. I breathed in his intoxicating smell. The smell of vanilla, woods, fire smoke, and the slightest hint of lilac. I relaxed right away.

" I will always be here for you my love. You just have to find me first. And you will. In time. "

"Don't leave me yet."

" I'm sorry but I've no more time left." Tears flooded my eyesight. He stepped back and stroked my cheek. He kissed the top of my head and faded away.

I wiped my tears and the scene faded away.

" NOOO!" I screamed running forth. I didn't want it to disappear. I didn't want to return to the mass murder scene. I wanted to stay here with my family and the one and only mate that I truly felt connected to. But yet again it was all being ripped away.

It all faded away to dark cave. it had wide opening and a fire was burning in the middle. I sat down with my front facing the cave mouth and fire. The fire crackled and popped. Then the flames flew out and licked ceiling of the cave.

I was tackled by a large wolf that came out of the fire. It was midnight black, blue, and purple with a Crescent Moon on its forehead. I quickly flipped it off me and while it is flying through air it changes into a beautiful women. She lands on her feet and skids back a little bit across the cave floor.

" Ah your strong young one." wtf!? No 'hi' or 'hello'?

" Haha that probably would have been better huh?" What? Wtf? is she reading my mind.

" Yes I am."

" Why?"

" Because I'm the Moon Goddess and I can do all sorts of things. "

" Okay why am I hear?"

" Well as you know your a hybrid and for that you have been kidnapped. You are important and strong as well as your family. And your pups are incredibly strong together. And together as a pack your the strongest in the world. Even as there is a small amount of you. "

" How do I get out of here?"

" In time do." And it all faded to black.

"Shit! " I mumbled.

I woke abruptly when I felt the ice cold water hit me. I sat straight up.

" Aww your awake now. How are you feeling? U've been out for quiet awhile. U've been out for a week."

" What? My family! Have you hurt my family? "

" And why would I do that?"

" Because you hate them and you want to be the only one close to me." I replied flatly. He stared at me with a straight face.

" Oh aren't you bright." he said leaning back in the chair and clasped his hands behind his head.

I growled at him. It was low and menacing. He growled back at me but it was deep. And weird. I growled a little louder. His growl only got deeper. I growled low and menacing again and was surged with an unknown force. I jumped up onto him but my hands were held back so I elongated my fangs and reached down to his neck. with one swift movement I ripped his wind pipe clean out.

" Don't fight it it will hurt less." I said. Finding the key in his pocket and unlocking my cuffs. I looked at the door then the window. I ran towards the door and swung it open and ran down the hall. The house was beautiful but dark. That same unknown force took over as we ran down the halls. It passed doors, went through doors and went up and down stairs.

At the last door it receded from control. I opened the door to see what I never wanted to see again.
