After a fairly uneventful ride to the place Erwin said he was taking her, (Y/N)'s eyes fell upon a gigantic wall that she somehow hadn't seen a few minutes ago.
"Holy shit, that thing is huge." Bluntly stating the obvious and earning a 'tch' from the ravenette riding next to her and a couple strange looks from the other people riding with her. With the command from Erwin the large gates opened to allow their entrance to the walls. Her eyes scanned her surroundings with a sense of pride that her mind could conjure up such an elaborate scene. Not paying heed to any of the spiteful faces looking towards her and the rest of what Erwin had called the Survey Corps, she continued to take in the view. The town looked like it was thrown into the early 1900's; the people dressed to match. After yet another short ride everyone began dismounting their horses and heading back towards some buildings that she assumed to be where they lived. The sound of someone clearing their throat caught her attention as she turned to the owner.
"Would you mind coming with me? I have some questions about your life outside the walls." At that statement multiple heads swung in their direction to see who their Commander could be talking about. Not everyone had the chance to see or hear of her on their trip back.
"Sure, dude." A casual response and a nonchalant wave of her hand had all the people around her confused and quite amazed with the calm and undignified answer. Erwin simply raised a brow at her choice of wording but didn't question it. Walking into the building and beginning the lengthy walk to Erwin's office, (Y/N) again easily became bored. Biting her lip in concentration she hopped and stretched her legs to try and walk in time with Erwin. Her eyebrows pulled together as she focused solely on the task at hand, or foot. Catching on to what she was trying to do an amused look crossed the taller man's features, watching as she stumbled here and there.
A few minutes later they arrived in front of large double doors, Erwin being quick to hold them open for the younger girl. Smiling to show her thanks she entered the room and sat in a fairly comfortable chair that was placed in front of a large desk. The room itself was nothing special, a small couch against the wall and a large desk with stacks of paperwork atop it. Another door in the back gave way to a connected room. Maybe a bathroom or bedroom? A supply closet possibly. Taking his respective seat behind the desk Erwin opened his mouth to begin questioning the girl in front of him when his door was flung open without warning. A low 'tch' signified who had just entered, and the young girl turned her body to raise an eyebrow at him.
"Hey short stuff." Sending him a large, innocent smile she greeted the Corporal.
"Shut the hell up, brat. Erwin, who is she?" With a quick retaliation before ignoring her and asking his superior just who on earth the random girl was, his grey eyes bore into Erwin's, who seemed less than phased. Motioning for Levi to take a seat the blonde male cleared his throat and began.
"I was just going to question her about that. So, miss (L/N), why were you outside of the walls? Or, better yet, how?" She quickly caught on to the fact that to them being outside of the walls was a very unusual occurrence.
Maybe if I simply make up an intricate lie they'll believe me. After earlier it's obvious for some reason my brain made the dream but the dream can't recognize that it's a dream. I need to stop saying that word, soon it'll be the only thing I can say. This is so much work! Cmon, think. Intricate lie, intricate lie, intricate lie.
"I just woke up out there." Mentally slapping herself for not even coming close to a lie, she noticed how neither of the men in the room seemed to believe her. "Well, I mean, obviously I didn't. I wake up other places, since everyone wakes up. After they sleep. Yup. I'm not sure how I got there, but I woke up and saw you guys." Continuing her rambling quietly to herself while her gaze drifted to the wall in thought, "Though I suppose if it's a dream it doesn't technically count as waking up. I wonder if I'll get to remember this when I really wake up." The other two simply shared a look before the one behind the desk gave a curt nod.
"I see. Would you be alright if Captain Levi escorted you to the infirmary? Simply to see if you have an wounds since you're not sure of exactly how you got out there." Shrugging, which seemed to have become a recent habit of hers, (Y/N) nodded and looked over to the glowering male beside her.
"Whaddya say, Larry? Escort me?" Snapping his eyes to meet hers with a deadly glare he instantly wished anyone else could be her 'babysitter.' Sending a nasty look towards Erwin to make it known that he was displeased with this idea, all he received in response was a small smirk of amusement. Waving his hand and turning back to paperwork with a quick 'dismissed' the two left the room. "How far is the walk, Leon?" Quick as a bullet he turned his body to face her and glared directly into her soul.
"Get this straight, you little shit. My name is Levi, Le-vi, and you will address me as 'Captain' or 'Captain Levi' or 'Corporal Levi.' No more of these bullshit names. Also, I'm taller than you, so you don't hold the right to call me short. Understood?" Sending a lopsided grin to the man in front of her and a half hearted salute she went along with it.
"Whatever you say, Captain Lewis!" A string of curse words were released from Levi's mouth as he turned around and began walking towards the infirmary. Jogging a bit to catch up to him, (e/c) eyes trailed over the walls and hallways around her. It was relatively clean with the exception of one or two cobwebs, and looked as if the whole place was made of stone. Reaching a door the now completely annoyed Corporal opened it roughly and walked inside. Telling the girl to sit on a bed and wait for the nurse he turned on his heel and left as quickly as he could. Slightly chuckling at the amusing sight (Y/N) again took in her surroundings. The first thing she noticed being a boy on the bed next to her. Tilting her head slightly in question, they made eye contact. "The hell happened to your face? It was bad before, but now it's straight up fucked."
Said male clenched his jaw and continued to hold ice over a gnarly purple bruise on his cheek bone. "Why are you here? When I found you at the trees I should have left you to be titan food!" Wincing at the pain in his face when he yelled he heard a soft sight from the girl.
"Don't get so worked up. I was just asking." Laying back against the pillow and crossing her legs, I mean, who isn't going to take up the offer of a free bed, she crossed her arms behind her head and looked at the ceiling.
"It was some stupid kid I fight with. He was being an idiot so I punched him. He punched back. Now we're here. Happy?" Somewhat growling while explaining he answered her previous question with the main details of his situation. A giggle made him look up in confusion to the source of said noise, finding the same girl who had just insulted him. "What? What the hell's so funny?" Shaking her head she turned to look at him with a smile.
"I used to get in fights like that a lot. Just reminded me of some of the dumber ones I was caught in. Ever need a hand and I'm happy to join in with ya." Giving a playful wink to the boy she realized she didn't know his name. "I'm (Y/N). You? I assume you don't want me to call you Kirstchein like the grumpy guy did."
Expectant eyes scanned the boys face as she awaited a reply. "Jean." She scoffed at his bluntness but sat up and offered him a hand to shake. "What?" Rolling her eyes at his obliviousness she grabbed his hand and shook it, giving him a 'was that too hard?' look. The nurse chose then to return and called (Y/N) over so she could check her for any injuries. Standing up and leaving to go back to his room Jean pondered over who she was and how she was outside the walls, but mostly her strangely relaxed and laid back personality. Shaking his head a bit at how strange she was, he stopped in his track when he heard a loud voice scream.
"THE HELL YOU MEAN I'M NOT GONNA WAKE UP?! IT'S BEEN HOURS! THIS DREAM IS SHIT AND I SHOULD BE AWAKE!" A slight pause and a moment of silence as he stood there in the hallway wondering what she was screaming about. "I DID NOT HIT MY HEAD, THIS IS A DREAM! NUH UH, YOU ARE NOT COMING ANY CLOSER LUIS!" Another loud screech followed by the sound of items crashing and being thrown around convinced him to go see what was happening. Not even two steps towards his destination a flash of (h/c) and blue whizzed past him, rocketing down the hall. Remembering (Y/N) wearing a blue shirt he stood even more confused than before, but wasn't given a second to think about it before another figure flew past him. Immediately recognizing this person he prayed for (Y/N)'s safety as the other man let out a booming,
"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!"
