"today i will be assigning a partner project," aizawa announced drowsily from his yellow sleeping bag, instantly putting earbuds in to block out his students' cheers when they heard the keyword partner.

"but, i'm assigning the partners," he warned, instantly crushing dreams and causing everyone's cheers to turn into zombified moans and groans.

[name] could care less if her teacher assigned partners or not. she was okay with everyone in her class and she didn't really dislike anyone- except mineta.

"yaoyorozu and mineta," aizawa began reading off the list.

[name] let out a sigh of relief, hoping her wishes were coming true by simply listing in her head who she wouldn't want to be partnered with.

momos' eyes widened and the purple haired pervert gasped and cheered joyfully at the thought of being able to spend all day around the girls beautiful body. [name] looked sympathetically at her friend.

"kaminari and ashido, uraraka and kirishima."

kirishima cheered before giving his partner a high five while denki and mina stared at each other miserably, knowing they wouldn't get anything done.

"iida and todoroki, midoriya and jiro, hagakure and koda, aoyama and sero, sato and asui, ojiro and tokoyami, [last name] and bakugou," aizawa finished the list, preparing himself for the complaints of his students- well one student in particular.

"i got the fuckin' teachers pet?" bakugou burst out, turning to look at the girl who was in shock that she had to work with the ash blonde. not that she had a problem with the pairing, but she knew for a fact that the two of them wouldn't agree with whatever the hell their project was.

"you and your partner will be training together and giving eachother tips and ideas. one thing you will learn in the hero industry is to listen to an assigned partner and accept advice," their teacher explained, yawning softly- making asui yawn minutes after him.

"at the end of each day, on a slip of paper you will write your honest review of your partner's quirk and their growth," he continued. "at the end of the two months, you will show everyone the techniques and tips you have learned from your partner- if you fail to do so, you will fail this project."

everyone stared in shock, whispering across the room about how much this would affect their grades.

"now, i suggest you spend the rest of your time talking about meeting times with your partners, unless you want to be lazy bums and receive a failing grade."

instantly, everyone had gotten together with their partners, frantically discussing a workout plan for when and where they would start on their project and when they would meet.

bakugou stood up from his seat and slowly walked to the back of the room, slumped over in disinterest of his partner and the project they were being forced to do.

"give me your number," he commanded placing his phone on the desk.

[name] stared at his phone, before pulling out her own and placing it right next to his. she then grabbed his phone, and sighed. "what's your password?" she asked nearly inaudibly. somehow, because of a christmas miracle, bakugou heard her.

"four twenty," he muttered, opening the girl's phone since she didn't bother to have a password. "why do you have that shitty 'anon' app?"

she didn't want to question if his password was something immature or his birthday (or both), and she didn't want to respond to his rude remark on her choice of apps, so she opened his phone, only to get it snatched from her hands.

"what the-"

[name] was confused, since she hadn't been able to even reach the contacts app to put in her number.

she saw bakugou's thumb swipe across his phone, only for it to be handed back to her with the 'add phone number' screen on for her .

the girl brushed it off his weird behavior and put her phone number in the section she was supposed to and filled in her name where it was labeled.

bakugou placed her phone on the table. "i like your lockscreen or whatever," he complimented in his classic offhanded bakugou way as he watched the girl place his phone back on the desk.

her wallpaper was just [what your wallpaper is], which kind of confused her as to why he would like it. "thanks, yours is nice too," she offered in return. the two were silent. everyone else's conversations were loud and clear while the two of them just awkwardly stared at each other.

"so," [name] finally spoke up. "should we discuss what time and day we will be meeting up?"

the boy sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes in sync.

"isn't that why i gave you my number?"
