It was a pretty night. The stars were shining bright, and the lights around the city was illuminating Vesuvia beautifully.
You sat up slowly with a groan and weakly pushed your feet off the bed. You wanted to get up on your feet every once in a while instead of staying in bed all day every day.
You stood up and with a proud smile you started to walk to your bedroom door. You stood in front of it and reached your hand out to open the door, but someone did it for you.
"Y/n!" Julian gasped. You yelped and stumbled backwards onto your ass. He gasped and crouched down before holding his arms out to pick you up.
"No." You spoke.
"W-What? What do you mean darling??"
"I mean, stop acting like I'm not able to do things myself. Don't act like I am not able to move just as much as you."
"But you ar-"
"I know! ...But it's disheartening. It hurts, b-because I know I'll never get better." You sobbed. Julian's eyes filled with tears.
"Don't-Don's say that." He cried. "I will I'll-" An awful feeling scratched your throat before you started to violently cough. Clutching your arms and crumbling to the floor.
"Y/n??!" You felt arms on your back and underneath your knees before you were being picked up from off the floor.
Before you know it you're laying on your bed again, your hands drowned in your blood, and you won't stop coughing.
"Oh-I-Im so sorry! I-I don't know what to do! I-I...I'll fix this...I-I will." You sobbed, shaking as he caressed my cheek with his right hand.
The second I calmed down I was embraced by my lover, tears now running down both of our faces.
"I-I'm exhausted." I whispered to him.
"...I know." He responded.
I held his head up with my hand and kissed his cheek weakly.
"Get some sleep..." He whispered to you, placing his forehead against yours.
"Goodnight..."
"Goodnight dear..." A sob left Julian's throat. "A-And goodbye."

At least you didn't die alone.
