Today was the day I leave. I didn't tell Payton but I doesn't seem like he cares. It's a Friday morning and I start to pack. I lay out my clothes that I'm going to be wearing for the day and get to packing. It only takes about 15 minute and we don't have to leave until 3:00 so I decide to skateboard around the neighborhood once more.
I grab my phone from my room then go downstairs I grab my skateboard from the garage and start to skate down the street. I notice a lot of people staring at me but I brush it off. I remember that little skatepark near another park so I go there.
When I get there it too crowded so I decide to just go sit at a bench until I see someone sit down next to me out of the corner of my eye. I turn my head. "Payton what are you doing here." I say trying to sound nice but it comes out with an attitude. "I can to see you since it was your last day here. Matt told me. He also told me that you saw me and Clair." He says. "Who's Clair?" I say trying not to make eye contact. "That girl you saw me with at the ice cream place." "Hmm I don't remember", I say sounding like a smart ass. " come on Sara I know you saw me. And I promise you i don't like her and I barely even know her anyway." Payton says. "You could have told me. I know we aren't a thing but it kinda hurt Payton." I say now looking at him. "Maybe we can be a thing". After he says those last words he pulls you on for a kiss. I wonder if you should be doing this or not. I eventually give in and start kissing back.
We part after a good 30 seconds. I sit there in shock. "Will you be my girlfriend?" "........yes". We go back into a kiss but this time felt different. It felt like there were fireworks around us. I know what your thinking. That's so cheesy and cliche. It felt like something.......
I go back to the house with a huge smile on my face. We all get our bags and say bye to my aunt and Matt. When I'm in the car I can't stop thinking about Payton. What if it doesn't work out.
