The sky turned blue once again as Jimin sat inside his bathroom. His neck ached, his throat was sore and his back was bruised because of the slippery tiles. His breathing had finally calmed and his eyes have finally dropped. His lungs were alright for now.
Moments later his eyes opened again, sleep far away. With a sigh he stood up, not without pain, and walked to his closet and picked a warm sweater.
He chose a white sweater and plain jeans with his black shoes that had insoles. He put on a choker he would take off as soon as he came to work and put some lip balm on. Just like in the movies he kissed the mirror and giggled.
He took a pill and a cup of water from his counter and swallowed fast. He was late again.
He grabbed his keyes, left his phone at home because the escapade to the bathroom had used up all his battery, and left the apartment.
His feet walked him to his job, a small bakery, owned by his friend, and where every one of his friends worked. The bakery was a cozy, themed brown bakery, where you could buy delicious food for the road or to eat there.
"Hey, hyung! How's it going so far?"
"Yah, Jimin, I swear you're late every day, come quick we have a wedding cake to make," shouted Seokjin, one of his hyungs and Jimin ran to the back.
With a smile on his fave and eyes crinkled, he put on his apron and grabbed a spatula: "Where do you want me, hyung?"
"Go mix the batter while I make the fondue."
The wedding cake was a success and the couple loved it. Jimin tried the fondue and still couldn't believe just how good his hyung is at making it.
Soon, began the rush hour and Jimin hopped behind the counter as he waited for the person in front of him to decide.
"Hyuung, you're making everyone late," whined Jimin and Yoongi, his other hyung smiled.
"You know, I like to have a perfect lunch Jimin."
"Just give him the strawberry one, Chim, he'll choose that one in the end," chuckled Hoseok, his best friend and Yoongi swatted at him.
"Shush, let me be. I'll take the strawberry one, thank you," ordered Yoongi and Hoseok snorted as well as Jimin.
"Here you go, kind sir. Have a good meal," said Jimin and handed Yoongi his order.
Yoogi laughed and told him not to call him sir again. Jimin watched as Yoongi went and sat down with Hoseok. He smiled one last time before turning to the next curstomer with a bit of a different smile.
The day was turning to a close, the sunset approaching and Jimin looked up sharply as Yoongi called out his name and pointed outside. Jimin smiled and his eyes widened, he turned around to face Seokjin and the older nodded. Jimin took off his apron and ran outside, to the back of the bakery and up some stairs that led to the roof.
The roof was decorated by Jimin, yellow flowers everywhere, with some reds and blues and a pink one next to the entry. There was actually grass right in the middle of the room, so Jimin could sit down and three other people, and watch the sky.
He sat down, after saying hello to the flowers and relaxed completely. The soft, short grass welcomed his weight and the soft, setting sun kissed his skin.
Behind him two sets of footsteps echoed. One lighter than the other and together they sat, each on one side of Jimin, curling up around him.
Together they watched the sunset, the radiant, burning colours turn and fade into soft, mellow ones until there was only grey left.
Two hands gripped eachother behind Jimin. To keep him steady, to give him warmth and also to give eachother hope.
