Once the movie is over, your friend is very sleepy, you can see her eyes getting heavier and heavier as she struggles to keep her head up through the rest of the credits. You can't blame her, it's already 1AM and that movie was incredibly boring.
You clean up her bed that you had been lying in, take away the computer and the popcorn, gently putting a pillow under her sleepy head, it's already very hot, so she doesn't need a blanket.
"Jack..." is all she's capable to mumble out before drifting into a deep sleep.
You feel tired too, but you can't go to bed, not before fixing that thing living on your head.
You pick up all of your stuff to go for a shower, however, the showers of the hotel are on the other side of your floor.
Great.
You silently get out of the room, making sure that you don't drop anything while closing the door with your foot.
Once you're out, the atmosphere is way different, all the lights are on, you can hear the boys next to you obviously having a blast.
Or so you think.
Once you get closer to their door, you can still hear the music, but they don't seem to be having fun.
As you take another step, you can hear the shouts of two angry guys and another, calm voice trying to make peace. They're fighting.
As you hear footsteps approaching the door, you rush towards the showers, not looking back.
***
Ugh, finally.
Your hair is all pretty again, tangle-free, your skin is now clean and smooth and your wearing some new clothes, that is, just another over-sized shirt that you're big brother gave you a few years ago.
"Fighting is normal among friends... right?" you think to yourself while brushing your teeth in a slow, tired motion, staring at your reflection in the mirror, making it's way through the steam of the bathroom.
They sounded pretty scary though, especially a certain deeper voice. It's not the guy from the balcony, this one has such a unique bear-like voice, it's intimidating even without comprehension of the words.
As you finish brushing your teeth, you gather up all your stuff once again and head for your room.
On your way, you see none other than balcony-boy, sitting in the guest area, just a couple feet away from your rooms. He doesn't pay attention to you though, he seems distressed. That fight did seem pretty serious, so it's no surprise.
*Click* you stare blankly at your door.
"No."
*Click*
"Oh no no no, how could i be so stupid?"
The door is locked, you forgot about the self-locking system of the doors here. Cassie is asleep, and there's no way you could wake that girl up, not from here, she'd never hear you.
"Maybe they have another key at the reception", you think, but the receptionist is nowhere to be seen. You try calling Cass but it's useless.
"Trust me, if we didn't already wake her up, you don't stand a chance." you hear the man from the couch saying, still looking at the floor.
You let out a heavy sigh, making your way to the couch, but keeping a fair distance (as you do with strangers).
You never know what to say in situations like this, do you ask him what's wrong, do you try to help, do you get his mind off of it?
You remember that you shouldn't technically even know that they had a fight, which boosts the confidence in your question. "What do you mean? Are you okay?" you say, finally looking at him.
After a moment of silence, he turns his head to look up to you and let out a small chuckle like before. "Wow Rapunzel" he says, looking at the wavy strands of your hair, some still dripping, wetting your back and shoulders.
Before you can think of what to say, he sighs deeply and gets up with a smirk, "Come on, let's go Princess." He takes your towels, brushes and other things you had brought, leaving them behind the reception desk.
You look at him confused.
Let's go?
Princess?!
"Well come on, we only have all night."
