TRIGGER WARNING: MENTION OF DRUGS/DRUG USE
DISCLAIMER: I realize certain events in this story are unrealistic and that this is not the way things actually work. However, it is my story and I can write the way I want to. I do not want to see people in the comments telling me I'm wrong or that it's not what actually happens. I am fully aware of that, I am just writing it like this for the sake of the story.
Juliet sat on the bathroom counter while Christine sat on the floor. They were anxiously waiting. Juliet's palms were sweating and Christine had her knees to her chest while her eyes were shut tight.
CC told Juliet about Christine 2 days after Andy got out of the hospital. She was quite shocked that he'd kept it a secret for so long, but she happily accepted her into their little family. Christine's mother had given up custody shortly before Andy's hospital visit because she felt that her daughter was out of control and no longer wanted to deal with her. Though it was a short period of time, Juliet and Christine had grown quite close. She'd already began to act as a mother figure to the girl, and already began to love her as her own. Christine's 14th birthday had passed just over 3 weeks ago.
Christine's eyes flashed open as Juliet's alarm went off. The 5 minutes was up. Juliet hopped off the counter and picked up the sticks from the back of the toilet. She studied them for a minute before looking over at Christine. She took a breath.

Jake looked down at the beautiful baby girl in his arms who was smiling up at him. He couldn't help but smile back at her.
"God, I love you so much," he whispered and gently kissed her forehead. "You look just like your daddy." He gasped quietly as he felt arms around his waist.
"Oh does she?" Jeremy kissed his fiancé on the cheek before resting his head on Jake's shoulder. The two looked at each and grinned before looking back down at their little princess. They swayed together, rocking her to sleep. Once the baby's eyes finally closed they put her down in her crib.
"Let's go lay down, dads need their naps too." Jake smiled as his lover.
"That couldn't be more true. Hey, I have a question, though. When are we going to start planning our wedding?"
"Oh," Jeremy rubbed the back of his neck as he looked at the ground. "About that..."

Andy and Ashley laid together in bed, Andy staring at the ceiling while a frazzled Ashley rummaged in his nightstand for anything he could find. No one had heard from either of them in weeks, but to be fair, no one really tried to get ahold of them, so they didn't care in the slightest.
"Hey," Andy nudged his boyfriend. "Do you have the cash? Ben said he'd be here soon."
"Yeah yeah I got it," Ashley snapped back.
"Watch the attitude, asshole."
"Sorry. I'm just starting to feel sick," Ash complained as he scratched his arms. "Oh, fuck," he muttered as he leaned over the side of the bed. He held the trash can up to his face and emptied his stomach into it. This was the feeling the couple lived to avoid, though they both knew it well. In his twenties, Ashley has been addicted to cocaine. Andy, in high school, was a slave to heroin. Recently, however. The two had started doing speedballs together.
What Ashley didn't know that day when he snorted those lines on his bathroom counter, was that it wasn't just cocaine. It was a speedball, a potentially deadly cocktail, containing both cocaine and heroin. In their earlier years, they both would stick only to their drug of choice. These days, however, they'd take anything they could find. Be it meth, crack, oxy, coke, heroin, they didn't care. All they wanted was to escape reality for a while.
As Ashley sat back up, he heard a knock on their front door. He stood up and grabbed a wad of cash from his nightstand. He went out to the living room and to the front door. He opened expecting to see Ben, their dealer. But no, he saw the puff of red hair and he knew he was screwed.
"Harley what are you doing here?"
"I came to see you! I haven't heard from you in a while and I tried to call you but you didn't answer."
"Yeah my phone broke and I lost everything and didn't have anyone's numbers. Sorry. Now isn't a good time, you need to leave." He said it more forcefully than he meant to, but he really didn't care right now. She looked at him with hurt and confusion.
"Okay look I'm sorry I showed up here unannounced, but that doesn't-" Ashley pushes her out of the way and stepped out onto his front porch before vomiting into the bushes. "Are you okay, Ash?"
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just.. sick. Now get out of here."
"Ash!" Andy yelled as he walked into the living room. "I know that isn't Ben so who the hell is it and why are you taking so long?" As he saw Harley, his face dropped and he put his arms behind his back. "Harley, what are you doing here?" She lowered her eyebrows and looked back and forth between the two of them.
"I came here to check on you guys," she said slowly. "But now that I'm here I feel like I should stay."
"No!" They both yelled. "I mean, we're fine. You don't have to stay. I'm just sick. And I think Andy is starting to catch whatever I've got. It's really no big deal. We're fine." Ashley smiled. He was starting to shake. He needed to get her out before she started to catch on.
"Okay?" She said slowly. They could hear the confusions her voice. "I'll go, but can I use your bathroom first?" The couple looked at each other. They knew it would look worse if they said no, but they also knew it could be bad if they said yes. They hadn't exactly been keeping up with their household chores.
Andy said she could and led her to it while Ashley stayed outside, saying he wanted to have a smoke. That, of course, raised a flag with her. She knew he hadn't smoked in years.
While she was in there, she searched every part of the bathroom she possibly could. In the end, she found nothing. She hadn't given up suspicion, but she hadn't found what she was looking for. As she walked out of the bathroom, she put her arms out to give Andy a hug goodbye. He thought about it for a second, then stretched his arms out too. She hugged him for a second then quickly pulled away and grabbed his arm. He tried to pull it away, but even though she was smaller than him, she was much stronger. She let go when she saw what she knew she would. She stormed out the front door to see Ashley stuffing something in his pocket and a car taking off down the street.
