Kyo

Kiara and I sat down on the park bench. We were tired.

" we need to go to Max. Don't ask who he is. He's a freind who will help us. If we find your friends we can all be safe" she said

I looked at her with wide eyes.

" what?" She said

" I never said anything about my friends" I said

" oh, well Max sends me telepathic messages sometimes. Maybe he knew something about it. Anyways let's go.just follow my lead. We walked put to a huge field were men were telling kids about this Giant hot air ballon next to him. Kiara walked up to him and clutched her chest. She fainted and fell to the ground. Oh, I see it know. The men ran over and looked at her. The students and everybody left in seconds. I snuck behind them and into the basket. I turned it on.

" Kiarra!" I yelled she got up and zoomed into the basket wiry me. In seconds she was listing a big flame, and soon we were in the air. We flew for an hour and landed next to my friends.

" I thought we were separating" I said sarcastically opening the gate.

They all got in the huge basket whom we all fit in.

" ok this is awsome Cj" Toby said

" um, who's she" angel asked

" hmm? Oh this is Kiarra. She's like us. Kiara?" I said

Kiara lit a small flame on her fingers. Everyone smiled.

" so, where exactly are we headed" John asked

" the leader of mutant kind has a refuge center. You can all be trained to use weopons suited to your power" she said

" who's the mutant leader?" I asked

" this guy everyone calls savior. No one knows his real name. He can control the dead. I think with a mutant that powerful. We can win this war against the humans" Kiarra said

" wait, he controls the dead. The mutant leader is the guy that controls the dead!" I said

Kiarra nodded. I looked at angel. She's the only one that knows he's my............ cousin. How could I be related to him. Is he nice or mean. He has everyone call him savior. That's a little over board. I couldn't stand it if anyone called me that as my name! Then, something big flew by the ballon. We all stood oh and looked down. Human army tanks! 6 of them mfor lowing and firing at us. They weren't firing bombs. They were firing rocks as big as my head. That could bring us down though. We were so close to being over a forest. If we get over the forest, we can loose them. Then, one rock, hit the side of th basket. I flipped over the side. If Toby hadn't had coughs me. I would have fallen to my death.

" Toby, Toby! Don't let go" I said

Everton grabbed Toby's and my hands. We were over the forest. We lost th tanks to. I felt my hands slipping. Then ......... I fell.

" AAAAAAA!" I screamed as I fell through the trees.

" CJ!!!!!" I herd them all yell

I hit the ground hard. I couldn't fell my legs! I saw someone walking towards me. Then, everything went black. I woke up in a hammock made out if fishing net. Someone was stroking my hair and I had a wet wash cloth on my head.

" your up" I herd a girls voice say.

I opened my eyes and looked at the girl. She was my age. And a mutant. She had fox ears and a double fox tail. She asks had two extremely sharp fox teeth I could see when she smiled at me.

" I'm kyo. You fell pretty hard. " kyo said

I tried to sit up. But I couldn't move my legs.

" you broke your legs. They'll heal in a few months though. Here" she said

She got,up and rolled a wheel chair over to me. She helped me into it

" I'm Cj" I said

" your not scared of me?" She said

" no. I'm a mutant too. Watch" I said I looked at the tables shadow. The shadow moved differently. The table, didn't move? Am I wrong. I can't control people. Please be yes. I went to her shadow. It moved freely and retunerd again. Kyo didn't move. Yes!!!

" wow! Cool. I'm half fox. I can talk to animals" she said " I saw a hot air balloon land near here. "

" that's me! My friends and I were traveling in it. Were going to a mutant refuge camp. You should come!!!! " I said

She nodded " I don't need to pack anything. All I have is food and these finger less gloves. Let's go!" She said

She rolled me out of her little hut and we reached the balloon soon. My freinds smiled and ran up to me. I got a group hug.

" Cj what happend" Kiarra said

"When I fell, kyo here, who can talk to animals, saved me. My legs are broken. She sayd they heal though. I'll be in a wheel chair for a while I guess" I said " let's go. And kyo's coming too"

They all nodded. I rolled into the basket and was helped onto the floor. We folded up the wheel chose and all sat in the floor. Kiara stayed up and took watch while we slept. Later on, She put an extra good fire up and traded spots with John.

" get up!" We heard Kiarra say " were here!"

We all got up. John and Toby helped me to stand just faintly. It was amzing! Fields of wheat. Small, but wonderful homes all lined up. And three huge huge huge buildings wich must be factories or hospitals os something. It was amazing. And I was finally going to meet the only family I had left! I was happy, but scared at the same time..................
