Christina was able to come home after a few hours. The only injury she had was a minor concussion, but they said she'll be fine in a week.
Chris has been acting really weird since I brought her home. Every time I try talking to her, she would respond with a huh because she wasn't listening. I tried asking her what she and Superboy talked about, but she just brushed it off.
An hour later Chris fell asleep on the couch. I went to move her hair out of her face to only to black out.
"She is our child!"
"She's another accident!"
I came back into the real world when I heard a knock.
"Ricky go answer the door!" He came out of his room in PJs rubbing his eyes. "Albert won't go to bed sissy"
"That sucks," I said. He called me a bitch and opened the door. "Hello, young man. My names Miss. Rivers. May I talk to your parents." I quickly stood up and went to the door.
This is the third time they came, but I wasn't home to talk to them. "Hello, Mam. I'm from Child Protective Services and I'm here to ask a few questions."
"Well come on in," I said opening the door. Ricky went to say something, but I cut him off. "Why don't you go back to bed sweetie." I pushed him to his room and shut his door.
"Let's head to the kitchen" I guided the lady to the dining table so she couldn't see Chris.
"Ask away." She nodded and opened a file.
"First question. Are you a U.S. citizen?"
"Yes," She wrote it down then asked the next question.
"How many children are in this residence?"
"7"
"Are you the mother?"
"No"
"I see. Where is your mom?"
"Dead." Rivers looked at me as she closed the file. "You know it's the law to have an adult here at least 20 hours of the day."
My eyes widened in surprise. Were children really that slow in this country where they can't look after themselves. The woman noticed my expression.
"Okay" She stood up smiling. I looked at her confused.
"See that look on your face makes it seem like you aren't from America." I opened my mouth to say something, but she stopped me.
"I know a guy that can take care of you and your siblings." She handed me a piece of paper with a number. "He has a huge house and a kid there too."
Miss. Rivers walked to the door, me following behind her. She paused looking at Chris "Please get some help."
Then she left.

The next day I called the number. This wasn't a sure yes, but Ricky hasn't slept in four days because of Albert and he almost drowned in the tub this morning.
I dialed the number and waited.
"Hello," A male voice said.
I froze.
"Hello?" they asked.
I mustered up my courage and spoke. "Is this Batman?"
And here is a short filler chapter. Not much to say except definitely rushed.
