Down With Auradon

The Outbreak

(One year after Cotillion)

"Good morning everyone." Ben smiled and waved as he walked by everyone. 

"Good morning King Ben." They would say back. 

"There she is the future queen of Auradon." Ben stood behind Mal.

Mal slammed her locker and walked away from him. 

"Are you seriously still mad at me about the other night? Mal I told you I didn't do anything." Ben caught up with her.

"I'm not mad about that. I told you I believed you and trust you." Mal replied.

"Then what are you mad about?" Ben questioned. 

"It's just my whole life. Everything about this is so stressful, but it's okay because we're doing this together. I gotta get going to class though." Mal kissed his cheek, then walked away. 

"Hey Mal. You good?" Evie asked as Mal sat beside her.

"No!" Mal complained.

"What's going on?" Evie wondered.

"It's just all this lady of the court thing. And there's the Ben thing too." Mal explained.

"You're still mad about that? I thought you were over that?" Evie asked.

"I was, but nowadays that's like what I'm always thinking about." Mal said. 

"Mal you really gotta let it go..." Evie was telling her when Fairy Godmother ran in. 

"I'm sorry to interrupt the class, but we need everyone to leave the classroom right now! King's orders." She demanded.

"Ben?" Mal asked looking around as they were all walking out.

As everyone was standing outside Mal kept looking around trying to find Ben. 

"Alright everyone! Please settle down!" Fairy Godmothers announced. "I don't want anyone freaking out, but there is a virus on the isle. Don't worry though the king and the council are handling things." 

"Um excuse me Fairy Godmother?" Mal raised her hand and made her way up front. 

"Yes Mal?" Fairy Godmother pointed at Mal with her wand.

"Do you happen to know where King Ben is?" Mal asked.

"He's with the council and they're working on bringing limos to the isle to get the people who haven't been infected with the virus." Fairy Godmother told Mal.

"Okay." Mal nodded and backed up. 

"Okay go! Go! Keep sending them out." Ben told the guards.

"Ben!" Mal yelled and ran to him.

"Mal?! What are you doing here?! You should be with everyone else!" Ben told her worriedly.

"I was worried about you. I can't loose you." She replied, then hugged him. 

"I know. And I can't loose you either. So I need you to go back with Fairy Godmother and everyone else." Ben stated.

"Ben I'm lady of the court I should be here with you too." Mal said.

"No please Mal. Please do this for me and go back." Ben said.

"Okay fine, but stay safe. I love you." She replied, then kissed him before leaving.

"I love you too. And stay safe yourself." Ben told her. 

Everyone was watching as limos would leave to go to the isle. Then come back and keep doing that. 

When the final limo pulled into Auradon they closed the barrier.

"Is everyone okay?" Ben asked calling to everyone.

Mal walked up with him and smiled. "Now that you're here." She grabbed his face and kissed him. 

"Alright Mal." Ben laughed. "Let's get everyone from the isle settled in." 

A few hours later everyone from the isle was in the cafeteria eating.

Ben and the guards were walking down the rows. Then someone ran in screaming.

Everyone looked over as they yelled. "One got in! Someone was bitten and came to Auradon!"

"Alright everyone remain calm!" Ben announced. 

Right after Ben said that something came up  from behind the person and bit them. 

Before Ben could say anything else everyone got up pushed through Ben and the guards, and ran out. 

Ben ran out after looking everywhere for Mal. "Mal?! Mal?!"

As Ben was running around looking for Mal someone grabbed his arm and turned him around. 

"Ben come on we need to go." Evie told him pulling him along with her.

"What about Mal, Jay, and Carlos, or even Doug?" Ben asked worried.

"I know we'll find them, but right now we need to go." Evie said again and started running still pulling Ben.

"Okay." Ben stated and started running with her.

"Ben?! Ben?!" Mal was running around yelling. 

"Mal?!" Audrey ran up to her calling. 

"Audrey? What are you still doing here?" Mal asked.

"I was trying to find Chad or Jane, but can't. Then I found you." Audrey explained.

"So should we go then?" Mal asked.

"Yes!" Audrey nodded. 

Mal held out her hand and Audrey took it and they ran off quickly. 

"Harry have you seen Gil anywhere?" Uma was panicking. 

"It's okay I'm sure he's with someone let's go!" Harry started running and Uma followed.

"Jane are you ready to go?" Carlos asked and he put a bag over his shoulder. 

"Yeah, but Carlos I'm scared." Jane replied.

"It's going to be okay. As long as we're together." Carlos assured her, then hugged her. 

Jay was on his own running, then bumped into someone. 

"Jay! Thank god I found someone." Gil said with relief. 

"Gil? I would've thought you would be with Uma and Harry." Jay replied.

"Well I lost them in the crowd of people, but can we stick together?" Gil wondered.

"Yes. Yes we can. Let's get going now." Jay agreed and they started running.

The groups all went different ways and were on their way to meet back up again.
