"Come on Evie! Run!" Ben was yelling to Evie behind him.
"I'm coming! Good thing I didn't wear high heels today!" Evie yelled back trying to catch up with Ben.
"We should find somewhere to stay for the night." Ben told her.
"Yeah, but where? We left Auradon. We can't go back to your castle." Evie replied.
"Plus there's a bunch of zombies there anyways." Ben added.
"I know. Let's just keep going." Evie said.
As they were walking something came up from Evie and tackled her down.
"Ben!" Evie cried.
Ben quickly turned around and saw Evie trying to fight off a zombie.
"Hold on!" Ben grabbed the zombie and threw it to the ground behind him. He grabbed and stick and stabbed it into it's head.
Evie was laying on the ground breathing heavily. "Thanks."
Ben ran over to her and helped her up. "No problem."
"Over there!" Evie pointed at a cottage. "You think anyone is in there?"
"Only one way to find out." Ben replied and started walking towards it.
Evie ran to follow Ben.
"Okay I'm gonna go in first and see if anyone is in here." Ben told Evie.
"Yeah, but Ben what if there is someone in there? You only have a stick." Evie said.
"It's okay Evie. I got this. Stay here." Ben replied before slowly opening the door.
Ben walked in with the stick up walking in each room. When he checked the last room and saw no one in there. He ran back out to Evie.
"It's clear." Ben told her.
Evie nodded and followed Ben back inside.
"This place is small." Evie said looking around.
"Yeah well it's a cottage." Ben laughed. "I'm gonna look for a bag. You look for some food."
"Alright." Evie nodded smiling.
Ben walked into one room and found a few bags.
"Hey Ben!" Evie called to him.
Ben quickly ran back in the kitchen. "What?! Is everything okay?!"
"I found these!" Evie held up two wooden bats. "It beats your stick."
"Ha ha." Ben fake laughed and took one of the bats. "You can take the bigger bed."
"Wow thank you Ben." Evie smiled and walked past him.
"I'll keep watch." He told her.
"Wait you're not going to sleep?" Evie walked back out.
"No. You sleep. I'll rest later." Ben answered.
"No Ben. We're here safe. We should both sleep." Evie stated.
"I know, but you also never know if someone shows up. And I am... Was the king. I need to protect me people like you." Ben explained to Evie.
"Ben you still are the king. Just because there's this outbreak doesn't mean you're not king anymore." Evie assured him.
"I'm sorry Evie." Ben said.
"Sorry for what?" Evie asked
"For not being to protect you and everyone from the outbreak and keep everyone safe." Ben answered.
