After the confession, things started to change gradually, until now, we only used to talk on Facebook, because I had no mobile phone. I gave him my telephone number and started talking on call after school when no one was around. We exchanged our Facebook passwords, which I thought was my biggest achievement. We exchanged our pictures, (we didn't see each other the whole time). He made me promise that I won't talk to other boys, and if I will break my promise that will be the last day of our relationship. I promised him without hesitating as I had absolutely no issues, but I forgot to ask him to do the same thing. He asked me if we could go on a date, but that was totally impossible for me because I was not even allowed to visit my friends so I refused.
That year on my birthday, after school, I was sitting with my friends, while talking to them I randomly turned my face towards the gate and all of a sudden I felt like I saw Asad standing outside the gate. "My daydreaming is getting out of control," I said, looking at Maryam. "How?" she asked. "I just felt like I saw Asad near the gate." As I was telling Maryam about my random feeling, I looked at the gate again, and there he was, actually standing and waving at me. My brain froze, and I almost had a mini heart attack. I didn't know what to do, and where to look. I waved him back with my shivering hand and tried to smile, (about which he told me later that It looked like someone slapped you hard you were about to cry.) We kept looking at each other for a few minutes and then we went back home. That was the first time we saw each other in real life and this made my birthday extra special.
After a few days, I logged into his Facebook account and checked his inbox. I was shocked to see his conversation with many female friends, when I asked him about them, he told me that they are his old friends and he can't even think of leaving them. At first, it bothered me a little, but after some time, I was fine because I trusted him. Everything was going smooth but then we had our first breakup.
His cousin Shehryar (my class fellow) introduced him to his ex-girlfriend Hina, who was also my class fellow. Hina and Asad became good friends but I didn't mind it at all. One day I was texting Asad but he kept on ignoring all my messages, I asked him the reason but he kept on ignoring me. Finally, I got a message, "You abused Hina, just because she is my friend? How dare you? Don't call me or text me ever again." I was confused about the whole situation because obviously this never happened. I tried explaining him but he didn't listen to me so I stopped texting, I cried a lot and never stopped waiting for his text. After two days I received his text saying that it was just a misunderstanding so he was sorry. Without thinking for a second that he believed Hina instead of me, I was like no problem let's get back together and everything was back to normal.
When my exams started, my mother refused to give me her mobile phone and I was not allowed to use internet during exams. I asked my friend Tanya to text Asad and tell him that we'll talk after exams. After a month my internet stopped working so I again I asked Tanya to text him. Finally, when I was able to call Asad I started telling him everything that happened in school generally in life but I felt like he is not even listening to me, "Asad. I am talking to you and you are not even paying attention." I said. "No. I was talking to my friend", he said. "Which friend?" I asked. "Umm...Tanya" He said really casually. "why is she texting you?" I asked "Don't you know? We are really good friends now. She didn't tell you?" I couldn't believe what he just said I disconnected the call. I didn't know what to say, my own friend is cheating on me? Why didn't she tell me? As much as I tried to hold it in, tear drops started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping.
