Arm Candy

(1) Dottie and Bucky

"Ugh when will they stop." Dottie said as she threw the Events page across their kitchen counter. 

Bucky picked up the paper and saw pictures of the Gala they went to the night before. Dottie was a kindergarten teacher while her husband owned one of the top engineering companies in NY. "Baby I have told you to stop worrying about what these people say about you. So what if they don't think you are pretty enough to be with someone like me. We have had this discussion since high school baby it's getting old." he said 

"I know that James but it does hurt my feelings when I'm the same age as Natasha. They don't say a word about her being with Steve." she said 

"Doll baby it's just some news reporters let it go." he said as he pulled on his suit jacket.

He kissed her "I love you baby and you know I already said I thought you looked beautiful last night." he said as he walked out.. 

Dottie said "Yeah love you too." 

She finished getting herself ready for work then headed to the elementary school she taught that was in Brooklyn. Dottie felt like she was in high school again when she walked into the school it happens every time she attends an event with Bucky. The teachers and other staff and faculty members whisper and stare at her. Dottie had mousy brown hair and hazel eyes she was the captain of the debate team and a band member. But Bucky even though he was popular with all the girls he found Dottie beautiful and he didn't care if the players made fun of him for dating her. 

Dottie got to her class room and sat down in her seat as she heard the laughter outside. Then another teacher came into her classroom. "Dottie can I ask a question?' she said

"Sure." she said 

"If you are married to that fine piece of ass then why are you even here working. And why are not dressed in more high end fashion clothes I mean seriously if I had a man like that and he was basically a millionaire you bet your ass I would be flaunting it." Beatrice said

"Because fashion has never been my thing that wasn't me in high school and that isn't me now." she said 

"We can tell.." Beatrice said

Dottie looked down as she walked out. That night she was wiping tears as she made dinner when Bucky came in. He saw her upset and he sat his stuff down on the counter. "Baby doll.." he said 

"Oh hey.." she said as she looked at him forcing a smile. 

"Baby you are crying what's wrong?' he said as he wiped her tears. 

"It was just a bad day that's all. Here I made you spaghetti I'm not really hungry so you go ahead and eat. I'm just gonna go take a hot bath and go to bed." she said as she laid his plate down.

"Dottie baby what happened?" he said 

"Don't worry about it James okay.." she said as she went upstairs. 

"Dottie." he said 

He ate his supper then went into his home office to go over the blue prints that Sam emailed him. Once he was done with that he headed upstairs to find Dotties in bed as he threw his jacket and tie in the chair. 

He started to get undressed and climbed in bed with her. He cuddled up behind her "Darlin tell me what happened?" he said 

"It always feels like high school every time I go somewhere with you. Beatrice made fun of me and told me that I certianly don't dress like I'm married to you and that I should be in high end fashion clothes and ball gowns. When I said that wasn't me it's never been me. She said we can tell they were all whispereing and laughing as I walked the halls." she said 

"Dottie baby I find you beautiful and that should be all that matters. Don't worry about what other people think. You are an amazing wife and teacher they are just mean girls baby." he said as they both went to sleep for the night.
