About a month after they got back from their long business trip Bucky was in his kitchen at his place when Dottie came in. "James.." she said
"Yeah.." he said as he turned around to look at his wife.
"I um I want a baby." she said
He looked at her "I'm sorry Dottie.." he said as he opened his breifcase and laid a blue envelope in front of her. " I want a divorce."he said
She opened the envelope as he left and started to cry when she saw that he had already signed them. Bucky met Kelsey at her apartment and she said "Did you give her the papers?'
"Yeah I did.." he said
"That's good cause um I have something to show you.." she said
He followed her upstairs into her bathroom and said "We made a baby.." she said
He looked at the test and he said "You..are pregnant.."
"Yeah..um I guess my birth control failed while we were away baby cause the last time I had a period was in December and it's the first weekend of February." she said
He kissed her with so much passion that he almost knocked her over. "I love you baby." he said
"I love you too." she said
She went to class then back to her apartment to get ready for their first appointment. She was sitting up on the exam table and the doctor said "This will be cold Ms Taylor."
She started to rub in the gel then turned on the screen. She smiled when she heard the heart beat and looked at Bucky. He was smiling at her and he kissed her hand. "We are due in September and she looks to be about 7 and half weeks." the doctor said
"Thank you Doctor." she said
They left the doctor's appointment then headed to her apartment where he had movers take all of his stuff and she helped him unpack and they made space for all of his stuff in her closet. A few weeks later Bucky was in court with Dottie.
Dottie didn't realize how smart Bucky really was when it came to financial stuff. The judge was looking over everything. "Oh Mr Barnes you are one smart business man." he said
Bucky smirked cause he knew what he was about to tell his soon to be ex wife. Bucky's dad told him when they got engaged that if he planned on being serious about his business goal that had to protect himself. Bucky had a prenupitial agreement drawn up on the off chance that he hit it big cause his dad didn't think his marriage to Dottie would last.
"What do you mean your honor?' Dottie's lawyer said
"You client and Mr Barnes had a prenupitial agreement. She can't touch him at all she signed it before they got married. I"m sorry Mrs Barnes but you don't have any thing but what you make." the judge said
"I don't remember signing anything." she said
"This isn't your signature right here." the judge had the baliff bring it to her.
She looked at it "It is but I.." she said then she tried to think back.
She looked at Bucky and said "You lied to me.."
"Cause the first time I approached you with the idea you yelled at me and told me that you wouldn't sign one. So I told you that it was something else so you would sign it. You don't need my money anyways. You would never let me spoil you and you basically gave me permission to go galavant with another woman what did you expect Dottie. I fell in love with Kelsey and I can be happy now and not feel like I'm walking on egg shells all the time. She lets me be me and she fits into my world Dottie." he said as he walked out of the court room.
