The next day during his lunch break Dottie came in and went with him to eat lunch at the diner. Kelsey was putting in order when she heard the bell ring and saw Bucky come in with Dottie. He sat at his usual table with Dottie.
"Which one is she?' Dottie whispered
"Just hold on." he said
Kelsey refilled a coffee cup then walked over to their table. "Hi I'm Kelsey I'm your waitress today. What can I get you to drink?' she said
"Hi Kelsey just get me my usual and Dottie will have the same." he said
"Okay." she said as she walked away.
"It's her." Dottie whispered
"Yeah.." he said
"She's gorgeous and she's a red head you use to love red heads. She's just your type James." she said
Kelsey came back over with her their waters. "Here you go your food should be ready soon." she said
She continued to work her tables then brought out their food. Bucky saw the time on his watch then he looked to her as she brought over the check. He slipped his card in the book and her $20 tip. She brought it back for him to sign "Have a great day Mr Barnes." she said then went over to cash out and then she clocked out.
She got her bag out of the back and left the diner. "She's a 19 year old freshmen at NYU from Georgia." Bucky said
"Well she is perfect for you James." Dottie said
"She won't do it though I told her last night but she said that she doesn't have the funding for the dresses." he said
"Well then hire a personal stylist for her have someone pull her dresses for her like Kellie can do it she's your assistant right?' Dottie said
"I guess.." he said
"You can provide her what she needs. I don't mind you wanted to do that for me but that's not me. But I get the feeling that if she is paying attention to the dresses then she's into fashion I'm guessing a cheerleader type as well." Dottie said as she got up and said "Approach the idea to her." then she left.
That night he went into the diner cause he knew she came back after class she was doing her homework. She walked over to his table "Sit down." he said
She looked at him confused "Phone.." he said then she read his message he typed out on his screen.
"Proposition we can discuss here or at my office?' she read
"Office." she said
"Get your stuff." he said
She packed up her stuff and clocked out since they were closing up anyways. They got to his office and he leaned against his desk.
"Dottie likes you. She said that she has no problem with me providing you with all dresses and diamonds for you to go with me." he said
She looked down "James I don't want to feel like a charity case." she said
"You won't be darlin..I'm tired of my wife crying cause people want to be mean." he said
"James..I'm 19 years old don't you want someone a little closer to your age." she said
"I just turned 30 Kelsey in March it's now almost September." he said
She bit her lip "I can have someone shop for you it's just to attend things it's not all the time I promise. " he said
