Chapter 1
*BEEP *BEEP *BEEP, the sound of my alarm, but I'm used to it. So i get up, like usual, get dressed in my suit, like usual, have toast and coffee, like usual, and head to work, like usual. I drive 10 minutes to get to work, I work for game co. the newest, biggest, and most popular gaming company, but i don't work in the testing department, ooh no, i work in the typing department. I walk over to my cubical and type away, until i hear something, more like nothing, nothing at all, it was so quiet, I could hear the clock tick from 5 cubicles away, so i stood up and whispered "Dan.....," Dan is my friend we used to talk to each other, but there was no answer today, I stood up and looked around, and no one was even here, how did i not notice before, hmmmmm i'll go look around.I peeked my head in the lounge room, and seen nothing, but i started to hear bumping in the far closet, I walk over and i could hear my heard pumping so fast, like a herd of buffalo running from a group of wolves, i slowly creek open the closet and I'm suddenly amused by what i saw............................... It's Dan, curled up in a fettle position in the corner quivering in fear. "Dan what are you doing in here, we have to work," Dan paused and looked up at me and whispered " we, we can't, i mean it's impossible, we need to see why everyone has disappeared." Dan stood up and walked out the door and just stood there, " Okay, you said we need to find everyone, right, okay so, where do we start looking?" Dan looked at me as if i were speaking gibberish and grabbed my wrist and started sprinting towards the exit and down the the stairs and onto the ground floor, " what was that?" I said out of breath, Dan turned to me and said "okay, i think we should check for clues first, do you remember anything unusual that happened lately?" I couldn't really remember anything at the moment but as soon as we stepped outside it came to me. Not to long ago there was a giant thundering boom that sounded like it was pretty far away, but close enough to make the whole world be covered in golden, sparkling sand, but some how it came now. "Dan i can remember now, do you remember when that really big explosion, and everyone ignored?" Dan squinted at me then raised his eyebrows and said "oh ya, like 3 days ago, okay, we should find the place where in came from." So Dan and i went to his house and my house to get supplies for our very long journey. We got to my house and I started putting bread in the toaster and brewing coffee, "um what are you doing, we need food and water, not toast and coffee." I looked at him in surprise, what was he talking about, this what i have to have every morning, "this is what I have every morning, we can't mess up the schedule." Dan looked at me in disbelief " are you serious, who cares about that, this is something way too huge, and we don't even have to work anymore." "Okay so no more work, and no toast, and no coffee?" So i started to take canned things out of my pantry and putting them into my backpack, trying to forget about my toast and coffee. Dan threw the can opener at me and I caught it with my backpack. #skill
