Chapter 2
We had to start the next morning, because we finished late, so the next morning we woke up early and started north to where the boom was. " are we almost there?" I asked, Dan looked at me " are you serious, we've been walking for barely 5 minutes." I looked down at my feet and seen a whole bunch of sand rushing towards me, making a small mountain, i looked behind me " uh Dan I, I think you should see this." Dan looked turned around, " jeez stop wasting ti..." When Dan turned around there was a giant black sand snake rearing up and ready to strike. "Um Dan what do we do, we have no weapons," but when I turned around Dan was frozen, frozen from fear. I looked up and I'm pretty sure the snake was talking to me......... "What do we have here 2 businessssssss men?" "No" I said "were adventurers, and we don't want trouble, were trying to find, and save our friends." The snake looked insulted, "I don't care you are tresssssspasssssing on my area, and if you don't leave ssssssoon, you will never leave, alive that isssss." I looked over at Dan who was still standing there, as if he were a zombie, I slowly backed up to Dan, "Dan, come on snap out of it we need to run, we need to run right now!" The snake started slithering towards us, and I grabbed Dan's wrist and started to sprint away from the snake. Suddenly Dan snapped out of it and made me let go of his wrist, the snake was gaining on us and there seemed no way to escape. Suddenly Dan threw a big rock at the snake, and it got really mad and dove under the sand, and it was quiet, too quiet, Dan and i stopped, just in time, because the snake came up right in front of us and blocked our way, I grabbed 2 fist fulls of sand and threw it at the snakes eyes as hard as i could, and the snake started convulsing, and dove under the sand again, and Dan and I took that chance to sprint up a hill we were heading towards, and the snake came out of the side of the hill right beside us, and we finally reached the top, and ........... I fell, but I started to crawl as fast as I could i sand, and i looked behind me, and as soon as I did, I seen the snake run into some sort of invisible wall that separated Dan and I from the snake. "hey do you know what is going on because i don't think were in the desert any more..." I turned around to see that all of a sudden, the golden sand ends and the environment turns into a swampy wet land, so we just kept walking north, but i think this place was starting to creep me out a little. "Do you think we should walk a different direction dan, because it looks a little too swampy over here," "we'll be fine, there is nothing to worry about...." "Um ya, thats where your wrong..." Dan turned around, and i was knee deep in water mixed with mossy quick sand.
