His tears couldn't stop as he slept on the dirty bus seat. The boy felt completely hopeless. He had this pit in his stomach. He just couldn't come to face the facts.
Taehyung was dead.
Jimin had fallen asleep right next to him. They had been riding different buses all day. In hope to get far away from home. Deep down he knew he didn't commit the murder, but his brain couldn't piece the puzzle of how his own brother ended up dead while Jimin and he were in bed together.
The boy cried silently as to not wake up the other who had his head on his shoulder. The pain was too much to bear. "I love you." The words filled his head as he thought about his deceased brother.
The sleeping boy had woken up. Yoongi quickly wiped his tears as to not let the other know that he was crying. Though, Jimin could clearly tell by his bloodshot eyes.
He put his arms around him, "it's okay to cry." He whispered while rubbing Yoongi's back.
"I miss him, so so much." He admitted as the tears began again. He wrapped his arms around Jimin while he cried in his chest. Yoongi hated feeling this vulnerable, but he couldn't help it. His pain was too much to keep to himself.
Jimin felt his heart wrenching. He had never seen his friend like this. He hated it. All the pain the other was feeling could be felt in how tight he was holding Jimin.
Yoongi finally had collected himself and wiped his tears. He looked at Jimin's shirt, there was a wet spot from him crying now.
"I'm sorry. . ." Yoongi apologized, embarrassed for showing his vulnerability.
"No no. It's okay. It'll dry." Jimin gave him a little smile.
Then it went silent between them. It was an awkward silence. Till the bus came to a stop again. They had entered the city of Rose. It was a beautiful city that both boys had visited before when they went on vacations with their families, but this time wasn't a happy occasion. They walked a couple miles, but they were exhausted and hungry.
"Let's go get some food?" Yoongi asked the younger one.
Jimin nodded and took his wallet out to check how much he had. The boy only had cash on him, he never wanted a debit card or credit card so he always carried cash. He has $400 on him, but he didn't know how long they would be away from home before his money ran out so he suggested they go to the store and buy cheap snacks.
"We will eventually run out of money if we never go back home." He told Yoongi.
Yoongi realized that he was right. He thought about it and decided they should just keep walking to the next bus stop, and when they made it to the next city over. They would make home there while they tried to figure out how they could prove innocence.
They walked and walked a couple of miles till they found the next bus stop. They sat and waited. Yoongi looked at Jimin who looked frustrated.
The older took the younger's hand, "I'm sorry this is happening. I promise you we will be able to go home again soon." Yoongi gave him a reassuring smile.
Jimin looked at him, "It's fine. I just miss everyone. Especially him." The younger looked down at his feet again.
Yoongi's smile faded and he also looked down at his feet, "I miss him too." He looked at his dirty shoes and focused on the pain his feet felt from walking miles and miles.
His thoughts were interrupted by the bus that was in front of them. The doors opened and they boarded the bus. Questions filled the boys head.
When will we be able to stop running?
