Short CallAs I wake up, I feel a growing sense of unease spreading through my body, like the aftermath of what happened last night. It's as if I battled invisible foes in my sleep, leaving behind an ache in every part of me.
If I had known it would hurt like hell today, would I have made the same choices last night? What would I have chosen?
I struggle to get up, holding onto my thighs. It seems like an easy task for anyone else, but not for me. Hindi ba pwedeng tapos na?Wala na? Ganoon? Bakit masakit, hindi ba?
I give Tyron a sharp look as he peacefully sleeps. I realize that if my cellphone hadn't buzzed, waking me up, I might have slept through everything! Thankfully, I heard it, or I'd be in trouble.
My manager, Faith, has been calling me multiple times. It turns out I have an urgent meeting with some associates here. Mommy has been calling me, too.
Now, I am struggling so hard to fix myself at nang makadiretso na ako sa opisina ng branch. I don't want to leave Tyron behind without saying goodbye but I need to.
I heard her stress sigh.
"Sorry, Eve," anito.
I have no choice but to let out a deep sigh, as if I'm exhaling the weight of the world from my shoulders.
There is nothing else there but his tee shirts in black and grey color. Some of his racer outfits and his uniform in his office. I cannot wear those outside.
I got myself ready and picked up my clutch. A quick look at Tyron, and I smiled. He looked good with his bare back, though he was hotter last night—can't forget that with the discomfort between my thighs.
I snapped a pic for my Instagram later, then decided to leave.
Confidently, I walked out of Tyron's room wearing just a loose man's shirt and boxer shorts, surprisingly making it a fashion statement. His friends, unexpected morning guests, stared at me. Running my hand through my hair, I didn't care much about my appearance. A bit of makeup on my cheeks and lips, I smiled at them and kept walking, unfazed by their curious looks.
I need to go now before Mommy's call. At eight forty, I stopped at a simple boutique and bought a cute dress which I think will look presentable to me.
When I arrived at the meeting hall, the atmosphere was formal, as we gathered to discuss the prospects and opportunities within this industry.
We're talking about business ventures and how we're going to make this branch a successful one.
We delved into the ins and outs of the entertainment business, discussing market trends, target audiences, and the competitive landscape. Everyone chimed in with their thoughts on how to position our venture successfully and attract skilled individuals.
