when ends meet

Part 1

Quickly I ran down the hall trying not to be late as i stormed into the classroom.

"Late again miss. Hart." Mr. Peters my math teacher said in annoyance. I didnt say anything as i shuffled to my seat at the back of the room. After over an hour of learning math i shuffled out of the room to head to yet another one of my classes because they day had only just begun. while i was walking to english i heard arguing coming from the other end of the hallway but didnt think anything of it. After a couple more classes it was finally lunch. "Terra!" My best friend Maya called over to me from across the hallway."Terra you will not believe this guess who just broke up!" she said excitement in her voice she loves gossip. "i dont know who."

"Cooper and Natalie!" she screeched.

"Really?" i said i never would have thought those two would break up considering they were only dating for a week, well it's not much of a surprise cooper is the school playboy who goes from girl to girl.

"Yea Cooper broke up with her it was so dramatic." she said excitedly "but of course Natalie is trying to play it off like its only a minor set back shes telling everyone that they will get back together soon but don't believe it he was really clear that they are done..." she continued i dont know how she has so much energy to be able to talk a mile a minute, shes always so full of energy and happiness its dizzying.

Maya kept rambling for what seemed like hours but couldnt be more than 5 minutes.Once we are at our usual lunch table the subject has changed to parties. " Theres a party tomorrow we should totally go it will be so much fun." she exclaims.

"sure if i can only get my aunt to say yes you know how unreasonable she can be." i say while rummaging through my lunch and taking out all the food.

"ok well try and if she says no i will definitely cover for you." she exclaimed her eyes sparking with excitement.

"i will definitely keep that in mind." i say jokingly. Lunch hour ends and off to class i go practically dieing of boredom while the teacher goes on and on about meaningless knowledge which i am almost positive i wont need to know later on in life. Once school ends i catch a ride with Maya her parents bought her a car for her 16th birthday its a nice pink chevvi to match her perky personality. After a 5minute ride we reach my house its a small victorian home but its a perfect size for me and my aunt.

"see you later Terra dont forget about the party tomorrow." Maya yells as i get out of the car.

"bye Maya." i yell back as she drives away. i walk through the door careful not to make much noise while i make myself diner. After i finish making myself something to eat i clean up the kitchen and the house and put on a load of laundry. After my chores are done i work on my homework which is only math so it really isnt that hard. i was on the last question when my aunt came down the stairs wearing her black and pink scrubs and her hair in a tight bun at the back of her head.

"Terra i have night shifts for the next 4 days so i need you to keep up with your chores." she said while rummaging through the kitchen filling her bag with food for the night.

"sure, and do you mind if i spend tomorrow night at Mayas house."

"as long as you dont sneak off to any parties its fine with me."

"Thanks and i promise i'll keep up on my chores."

"Thank you ok i gotta go see you soon sweetheart." she said walking to the door.

"bye." i said before she left. once she left i ran up the stairs and into my bedroom which was painted a baby blue and ran to my bed where i had thrown my phone and i texted Maya about staying the night at her house tomorrow. moments later she replied 'YAY! Cant wait for tomorrow night!'

'Lol me to c u tomorrow.'i turned off my phone and got into my pjs and fell asleep watching Netflix on my laptop.
