A little bit about my musical background.
I have been writing songs for a little over 30 years.
12, 13, maybe 14 albums recorded. 4 or 5 maybe 6 bands, I have been in.
And solo projects and hundreds of songs written.
Recently I've had some time to sit in my studio and read through pages upon pages of lyrics and songs that have been just fading away over time in rotting binders.
Not every song will be a hit, I knew...
Nor strong enough to actually "make it to tape".
There was, when the songs first came into fruitition, that initial excitement and dream of hearing my "next big hit" through an awesome sound system and rockin out with my cockin out on the big stage!
Words and melodies and chords would pour out onto white parchment with a rush, and then... nothing...years and years of nothing. Just ink on paper and forgotten melodies.
So, here I am, reflecting these past notions of tunes...
These song ideas are to be put to the shredder.
Prior to that painful trashing, I put these songs to book.
Sans melody or musical notation.
With maybe a note or two I had put at the top of the lyric sheet.
Key, capo, etc...
Maybe somebody will read.
Maybe that read will spark creative.
Maybe that creativity will berth a hit.
