MACKENZIE HAD JUST GOTTEN off the phone with her best friend, Lauren. They're planning to have another girls night with Bella at her place tonight.  She was super excited to see her best friend and spend more time with her.

She wasn't sure if Johnny was going to be there, and Mackenzie didn't mind. In fact, they even have plans for next week. Their text conversation is what made her feel that their next meet up will be awkward. Johnny obviously has nothing to lose if he's telling Mackenzie that he should be the one dating her and taking care of Bella.

After packing the bag filled with baby essentials she dressed Bella into a cute outfit and slipped on comfortable clothing for herself. Mackenzie added a black beanie on her head then slid on her shoes.

Ashton was downstairs with one of his friends from business. He noticed his fiancé come down with Bella on her hip and smiled, gesturing to his friend that he'll be back in a minute. "Where are my beautiful girls headed?" She smiled at his words.

"Girls night in with Lauren, I'll be back in a few hours. Will you be okay here?" She looked up at him and he had an expression of grimace. He quickly replaced it with a fake smile and nodded.

"Have fun, I love you." He led them to the front door and watched her get in the car safely before pulling out of the driveway. Ashton softly sighed and made his way back to where his friend was, overthinking the possibilities that could occur at Lauren Orlando's house.

He shook away the thoughts, but it still bothered him.

Mackenzie knocked on their door, waiting on someone to come invite her in. She heard footsteps and stood up straight, straightening Bella's appearance. The door opened wide, revealing Johnny— who was currently shirtless.

Her eyes immediately landed on his perfectly tan, toned body. She noticed his six pack that he had developed, her mind was swarming with thoughts. Mackenzie quickly raised her gaze to his eyes but noticed he didn't even realise she was staring because Johnny was doing the exact same.

Her cheeks didn't fail to blush, and Johnny quickly connected their eyes again. "Hey Kenzie, come in." He smiled, pretending like their little staring at each other session didn't happen.

Mackenzie and Bella ushered in, she set her down only to be swooped up by Johnny. He planted endless kisses all over her cheeks and forehead. Bella let out the most wholesome laugh ever and grabbed Johnny's cheeks.

A wall of tears built up in Mackenzie's eyes, he is her father and Johnny thinks Ashton is. So does Bella, she's hurting the two people she loves so much. Quickly, she blinked and joined the two. "Wow, she really loves you huh?"

Johnny nodded, never letting the grin leave his face. "I guess so, and I love her just as much. Little cutie." Mackenzie and Johnny continue playing with Bella while they spoke.

Lauren walked downstairs and heard laughter, she made her way in and saw John with Mackenzie and Bella. "Hey lovebirds, hows it going?" Johnny went red and so did Mackenzie.

Deep down, they both knew they still had a soft spot each other. Johnny's soft spot for Mackenzie is just a little bigger though. "I was going to come up but Johnny and—" Lauren cut her off.

"It's fine, we can just watch a movie down here. I'll make snacks and you two pick a film?" Mackenzie nodded and watched Lauren leave the room.

Johnny slyly shuffled closer to Mackenzie, their legs were both against each other. Bella was taking a bottle in her pram, with the top covering her. It was just them two, on the couch, in silence. She coughed and started scrolling through Netflix.

Mackenzie clicked the movie Us, before getting John's approval, and waited on Lauren so she could click play. In the mean time, her and Johnny sat besides each other in comfortable silence. They just wanted to enjoy each other's warm comfort and company because thats what they both missed.

It's a risky move, being so close to Johnny knowing she used to date him and now has a fiancé. It didn't take much to fall in love with Johnny, and now it's even more easier. But, she doesn't want to distance herself from him.

She believes him when he tells her that Johnny mistakenly kissed Maisy Stella, and is quite sad that they broke up because she didn't give him a chance to explain. Mackenzie was so insecure she thought he didn't like her and left him.

Mackenzie could only imagine what it would be like if that whole incident didn't happen. Sometimes, she wishes it didn't so she could experience a long term relationship with Johnny. Is Mackenzie really losing feelings for Ashton?

He is a good guy, treating her and Bella well, always helping out and will put them before himself. But, she can't help but think they're not right together. Or maybe they are, and it's just Johnny's effect on her making Kenzie think that.

Lauren finally entered the room with buttered popcorn, twizzlers, three energy drinks and chocolate. "Us? Sounds like fun, let's do this." Johnny laughed and Mackenzie heard him above her. She laughed along and Johnny thought it was music to his ears.

Slowly, Johnny and Mackenzie found themselves in a more comfortable position. Johnny was leaning on his side and allowed Mackenzie to lean against him. They linked his left and her right arm and she rested her head on his forearm. Lauren continued sneaking looks at the couple who aren't really a couple.

Mackenzie doses off right before the movie ends and Johnny softly pecked her forehead before he joined her and slept. Lauren awed silently and tucked them with a blanket. She picked up Mackenzies phone and put in her passcode, texting Ashton that she's staying the night.

Back at their house he wasn't too happy, but Ashton wanted no more problems with him and his fiancé so he allowed them then went to bed himself.
