DAY: 2/14

"Don't worry so much. Seriously, you look fine. Honestly, this is one of my favorite outfits on you. Besides, who cares what you wear? We're there to hang out." Casey stated, pulling up to a stop light.

We were on our way to the Trap House. And let's just say, I was losing my ever-loving mind. It took me a full hour to figure out what I was going to wear. I decided on my favorite shirt – the movie poster of Beetlejuice, a pair of denim shorts, a grey plaid shirt, and black converse. I've worn this outfit so many times in my life and yet now I'm stressing about it.

"That's easy for you to say. You roll out of bed looking like cartoon birds braided your hair. I, however, look like the wicked step-sisters combined." I quipped.

She snorted, "You sell yourself too short sometimes, Skye. I mean, I think you underestimate your hotness."

"I think you overestimate." I mumbled.

"Enough! No more shitting on yourself today, alright? I want to hear only positive and confident statements." She replied.

"So you want to lie?" I smirked.

"No. I know you have confidence, Skye. I mean, you wouldn't have stood up to the Marky-Mark and the Douchey Bunch last night if you had none." She teased, turning up a side street.

"That's different. When it comes to dudes who try to intimidate me, I can step up to their level. But the idea of meeting my favorite people who technically don't know I exist but are about to find out about me stresses me out, okay? I can't help it." I sighed, "Besides, I hate meeting new people. I feel so awkward."

"You'll be fine. I was nervous when I met everyone too. But you'll see that they are seriously so kind and lovely." She responded, smiling.

I sighed again, nodding my head. A moment later, we pulled up to a gate blocking a driveway.

Holy shit we're here.

We got out of the car and went up to the gate. Casey punched some numbers in and the gate unlocked. We walked up the driveway and to the front door.

"Don't run away now." Casey whispered, smirking.

I mouthed 'fuck you' and rolled my eyes. She laughed and knocked on the door. A second later, Corey opened the door.

"Hey guys! Glad you could make it! Come on in." He opened the door wider, allowing us to walk into the house.

It was mostly white, with a poster next to the door. A bunch of shoes laid on the floor. In the living room, there was a couch and a tv. A black dog came around the corner, wagging its tail.

"That's Navi. Don't worry, she's a really sweet dog." Corey said, looking at me.

I nodded my head, lightly petting Navi's head. She sniffed my leg.

"Everyone's in the garage right now. Feel free to grab whatever drink you want from the fridge." Corey stated, walking into the garage. Casey and I walked over to the fridge. She took a water, while I grabbed a diet coke can.

"You ready?" She questioned, popping open the top of her bottle.

"As I'll ever be." I quietly replied.

We walked over to the garage's door. I could hear music playing, not too loud. I couldn't make out what song it was.

We walked in to find Corey, Jake, and Aaron chilling on bean-bag chairs. They looked up at us.

"Guys, you already know Casey. This is her friend Skye." Corey smiled, pointing at me.

I waved at Jake and Aaron. They mumbled a 'hey' back.

"Wait, is this the friend that's a fan of us?" Jake asked, looking at Casey.

She nodded her head, "Yep. But don't worry, she's not crazy."

"I don't know, she looks like she might be crazy. Are you?" Aaron questioned, raising his eyebrows.

"I'm not crazy, no." I stammered.

He nodded his head "She seems okay to me." He chuckled.

After sitting down and getting comfortable, we all started talking about random things: clothing, memes, favorite spongebob episodes, worst fast food places, and just the weirdest of topics. Then, we brought up music.

"Wait, weren't you telling me yesterday, Casey, that Skye can sing?" Corey inquired, sitting up.

Casey gasped, "Yes I did! Skye, you should sing something for us!"

Is she trying to kill me?

"Oh, I don't know about that." I muttered.

Suddenly, they all started chanting "Sing, sing, sing, sing!" I rolled my eyes and stood up, Casey began to clap.

"What should I sing?" I replied, looking around at all of them.

"Do you have a favorite song at the moment? Sing that if you can." Aaron remarked, sipping from his water.

"I bet she can't even sing." Corey mumbled loudly to Jake, both nodding their heads and smiling.

I looked at them, puzzled, "What you say?"

Corey sassed, "You know what I said." Jake giggled quietly.

I pursed my lips together, sucking my teeth, "Okay then."

I removed the phone that was connected to the aux chord and plugged in my own. I scrolled through my music until I found a song I knew I could sing: The After Life of the Party by Fall Out Boy. I pressed play.

My lack of confidence has always existed, ever since I was told (by society, people in life, whoever) that I wasn't supposed to be confident. A lot of my insecurities came from my body. I was a big girl, literally born with thunder thighs, according to my parents. I was never skinny. Because of this, I was always told to dislike myself. So... I did.

But the one thing that no one could tell me to not like about myself was my singing voice. When everything else in my life was in the shitter, my voice and my music was there to help me feel good about myself. Every time I sing, I go in. Not one song is sung without emotion.

It also helps that I have been singing since I was four and have taken lessons over the years. I knew what I was doing when it came to singing.

Half way through singing the song, I could see three people standing in the doorway of the garage. I didn't turn to see who it was, only because I was so invested in the song. It is one of my favorites.

The song ended. I looked at the four people sitting in front of me. I hadn't realized they were all looking at me in awe, besides Casey who was just smiling.

They all started clapping. I could hear clapping coming from behind me. I turned around to see Brennen, Colby, and Sam standing there.

Oh my fucking God.

~~~~~~~~~
Hey everyone!
Skye sang in front of everyone, including Sam and Colby. HOLY SHIT!
Question for yall: if you could meet the boys, would you sing in front of them? I'm curious to see what you're answers are.
The next chapter is the start of something new for Skye and one of the lovely boys ;)
But I'm not gonna post it until I get like 1 comment or something lol
See y'all then! <3
