Fang opened her eyes slowly, blinking as they adjusted to the dim light. Hmm, sunset. She smiled sleepily. Her brow furrowed a little as the bed shifted and a warm arm snaked around her waist. She moved her hand to cover the new one, trying to remember what had happened. A content sigh ruffled her hair as he snuggled his nose into her neck. She smiled softly. "Caleb," She murmured, stretching her toes, too comfortable to move anything else. "You're so clingy," She groaned slightly.
He grumbled unintelligibly, pressing his body against hers. It woke her up a bit as she realized he was naked... and his skin was pressed against hers. She blushed, smiling a bit as she remembered the night before. She'd discovered that Caleb could be very... assertive if he chose to be. Giggling a bit to herself, she forsook the warmth of the bed. She shivered as the chilly evening air hit her skin.
"Nnn... come back to bed..." Caleb grumbled, holding up the quilt. Fang smiled affectionately at him before sauntering towards the bathroom.
"Oh, I don't know. I think a nice long shower would warm me right up..." She teased, smiling triumphantly as she heard Caleb's feet hit the floor.
A half hour and a half of a shower later, Fang had just finished buttoning her pants when there was a knock on the door. She stuck her head out of the room to see Gavin and Tobi outside. "Can I help you?" She asked, a little irritated. Couldn't she just have the night to herself for once?
Tobi shook his head. "Fang, we need to talk. Now." He opened his mouth to go on, but stopped and furrowed his brow. She turned her head to see Caleb leaning in the bathroom doorway in nothing but a towel. She smiled a little.
"Well, go on, kid." Caleb encouraged, a small smile on his lips.
Tobi sighed. "I remembered something." He stated simply. That caught Fang's attention. She stepped aside, letting him and Gavin into the room. Once they were seated, Tobi began to speak. "It was just flashes, but I saw... people." He scrubbed a hand over his face. Fang started pacing, a hand to her chin as she listened to him speak.
"There was a redhead. He had bright eyes, full of laughter. And a little blond guy, with a smile that could rival the sun itself." Tobi smiled warmly. "And then... a blonde girl. She was tall, full of fire, and-"
Fang cut him off. "And music in her stance." She turned to him, her eyes wide. "Clay, Sammy... Sarah." She tangled her hand in her hair, furrowing her brow as she ducked her head. "Nnn... There's... no... something wrong..." She whimpered, flashes echoing through her mind. She felt Caleb's hand on her back. She reached out blindly for his arm. "Something's wrong..." She whispered again. She didn't know what it was, but she had a pit in her stomach that she couldn't shake.

Later that night, Gavin pulled the car over near the edge of the forest. "This is as far as we can go by car. The rest of the way is on foot." He turned off the engine and looked back at them with a cheeky smile. "If you don't know where you're going, it's easy to get turned around. Spirits like to play tricks on tourists," He teased. Fang rolled her eyes as they climbed out of the car. She didn't believe in spirits. If they existed, they were pretty pathetic. She had always considered herself to be open-minded, but she didn't see spirits making their mark on anything.
She shook her head, trying to clear it as they followed Gavin into the trees. He was chattering about something with Tobi but Fang wasn't listening. Her head still ached with the images of people she barely remembered. People she felt like she loved.
Caleb wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "What's on your mind, my love?" He whispered softly in her ear.
She shook her head, not wanting to talk too much about it. The silence hit her then. They had been walking for a little while and were a ways into the forest, But she didn't understand it. A silence like this... it was eerie. Not even Gavin was talking anymore.
Her senses on high alert, she followed as Gavin and Tobi stepped into a small clearing. It was really rather pretty, the moonlight fell softly through the leaves, illuminating a small waterfall. Up above them, on the cliff, stood two figures.
At first, Fang sighed in relief, a huge smile breaking across her face. "Little bird!" She started to rush forward but stopped as the moon broke through the last of the clouds and illuminated the other person with her.
Fang stopped in her tracks, eyes frozen on the second figure. A thousand memories came rushing back to her as she laid eyes on him. "Matt?" She raised a hand to him, her voice incredulous.
He smirked, looping an arm around Raven's waist. "Good work, Gavin," He raised his hand, and at first Fang thought he was reaching out for her. Her smile widened. My boys, she thought with warmth in her heart. There was a flash of light and one single, deafening sound. Tobi lunged towards Matt, Caleb for her, but neither of them could stop it.
Bang.
Fang went flying back with the force of the shot, pain ripping through her as the bullet hit her heart.
As the world began to fade, she heard the sounds of Caleb screaming in rage.
And then the world went black.
