Ariella (Ah-ree-ella) Hayes is a straight-face reclusive. After losing her father at a young age, she is forced to take care of her irresponsible and workaholic mother.
She thinks her life goes from bad to worse when her mother comes home from work and is crazy happy. The next morning, Ariella's things are packed and she is shipped off with strangers to a school for 'special' children.
