It was a late, very rainy afternoon on a Saturday in the town of Gallows Hill.
A young girl, 17 years of age, but to be 18, was moving to the town with her older brother, her father and her small 3 year old nephew. The girl never liked to talk to either her father or her brother, not after she had fully realized what they had done over the years.
The girl's nephew was asleep in her lap as they shared the same seat belt to ensure her nephew would be safe. She wore an over sized, dark grayish blue sweater, which practically looked as if it were a dress on her.
She always seemed to have her blonde hair over her right eye, and her hair was usually up in a pony tail, but would sometimes have it down. The girl always looked tired or at least had seemed to be according to her only two friends she had where she used to live, Olivia and Suzana.
Her name is Analisa Riggs, little does she know, her life was going to change within the first few weeks of living within Gallows Hill. She felt the car come to a halt outside her new apartment complex she'll be living in with her father and brother, whom she couldn't even stand to look directly in the eyes, as they abused her daily and would generally harass her.
She had always thought to herself the only reason she kept herself breathing was for her nephew Ryan, she knew if she was gone he'd end up being just like her brother and her dad, and she didn't want that for him.
Even if it meant she had to suffer for it.
Her nephew was a sweet little boy and would always care for Analisa, and she knew that's why she holds out for him.She heard her father sternly say to her as her nephew woke up, "Ana, get the luggage!"
She sighed and looked down at her nephew who said sweetly, "I wanna help!"
She chuckled lightly at his enthusiasm, although she knew he couldn't do much for his small size, "Thank you, Ryan. But... everything might be too heavy for you. You can take in a small case if you'd like."
Ryan joyously crawled out of the van having to carefully step out as the gap between the door and the ground was nearly the size of him.
Ana sighed and remembered if she didn't get the luggage in within the first few minutes they'd be yelling at her.
She carefully got out of the van and walked to the back to open the door.
There were a few large cases of luggage, and she could maybe bring in two at a time but she'd have to take a few trips up the steps. She hated that they'd make her do all the labor, they were almost three times her size yet she was bringing heavy suit cases nearly half the size of her up the steps into the small apartment complex.
She dragged two of the cases behind her as her nephew adorably walked behind her with a small case of his luggage, feeling proud for helping his aunt.
"I'm helping! see?" He excitedly said
She softly chuckled as she was having difficulties trying to get the cases up the stairs. Her brother looked outside at his sister and rudely said, "Jesus fucking Christ, Ana! Give me those, clearly you can't handle them!" He took the two suit cases with a hint of irritation and muttered as he took them in the apartment, "Useless as always."
Ana sighed and walked back down the steps to retrieve the last suit case that was hers and smaller than the other ones.
Her nephew looked up at her with a hint of sadness in his eyes, he never liked it when he saw his dad or his grandfather be mean to Analisa.
He also never liked it when they hit her and made her cry.
In his mind he feels as if there would be a good person, like a superhero almost that would come and help her, like in the bedtime stories she'd tell him when he's scared.
