The MS Courtyard
The courtyard is so peaceful. The hanging blue blanket flowing across for eternity lights up the emerald shards of the courtyard, welcoming the souls to peace. So empty, as if it were an empty cup, and yet it feels safe & at home. Vibrant red & purple flowers shift slightly with the soothing breeze, the sand is their home as their roots grow deep into the tan grains of sand. Among us small crawly critters saunter, their heart’s beats’ steady with our own. Chirp, chirp.. the neighborly birds call out to one another about the newest hatching egg. The yellow star, so far away, but once again it feels so close out in the rectangle of heaven full of peace. The soft petals of bright red, like the blood of a raven & the deep purple of a warriors bruise litter the sand, blown off of their flower-mothers. Crispy, warm air meets your lungs as you inhale deeply, stress no longer anything to you as you exhale. “This is home! This is home!” the whooshing palm tree leaves bellow, announcing the love for their home just under the sun. The shadows of their fingers stretch through the dark green grass, wandering through heavenly peace. Do not drift away into the deep slumber of hope; take the beauty in with every waking breath. Full of peace, yet lurking everywhere is silent darkness, with the five light-poles fending it off with their earthy glow, the courtyard is so peaceful.
