"Siñorita, are you guys done?"
Fortùna told her that we were done and we were heading to her place.
We mounted back our horses and continued this questionable journey.
"So, what are my two amante talking about?"
"Nothing much," Fortùna answered. "Just, how excited I am to see our destination!"
"Our destination?"
"Yup."
"My, you guys really are interested?" Sagi babbled. "I- I didn't think that you guys are even slightly curious about it."
She muttered a word, a word I couldn't hear clearly.
But, it sounded like a. . .
. . .thank you.
We trotted through the slippery mountain path.
I was almost convinced that Sagi had something up her sleeves---but I promised my angel to give her my trust just once more time. . .
. . .and I wouldn't break a promise, especially the one I committed for her.
"Are you okay, Javi?"
"I am fine, mi amor."
Lucky held my hand and tighten her grip. "It is gonna be alright."
"Ah, thank you, Fortùna."
"Here we are!" Sagi exclaimed.
We reached the peak of the mountain, a beautiful view could be seen---waiting to be enjoyed by human-kind.
Sagi. . .
. . .wasn't planning anything?
She didn't lie to us? Was it all just me and my imagination---my hatred for her?
Maybe, just maybe, she had changed afterall.
A rattling sound could be heard out of nowhere.
This gave me some sort of deja vu feelings, and everything started to become tense.
It could come from any directions haunted you like a pack of wolf on a full moon night.
And the worse of all was that I was right.
Everything went blank.

"Javier!"
The voice I have been longing to hear called me out.
"Uh," I groaned in pain as I am back in my conscience. "What happened?"
Fortùna hugged me almost immediately. I could hear her sobbing and sniffling by my back.
I patter her head, tried to calm her down.
I cupped her face. "What is it, sweetheart?"
Fortùna wiped her last remaining of tears.
"I- it is a r- rattle s- s- snake," she answered.
"Sagi?"
"Wh- what?" Sagi exclaimed in defense. "I- I have been here hundreds of times and never once a snake---no, not even a bird appeared!"
Never?
Maybe she was plotting it all afterall.
"Not even once a snake appeared, and besides it wasn't the snake that caused you to lost conciousness," Sagi mumbled. "It is just that you are too weak that you cannot even handle the pain of falling from the height of your own horse."
"H-hey! How dare y-"
"I am glad you are alright," Fortùna tighten her grip on me.
I stared at her. She looked so sad and worried---and for that I couldn't let my anger took the better of me.
"You know, I will always be fine as long as you are around."
Fortùna and I stood up, right after that the pain hit me like a bolt of lightning.
"J-Javier?"
"It is okay, I- I am fine," I muttered.
Sagi clenched her fist, something seemed to bother her.
"L-let me help," She muttered.
"Ah, thank you," Fortùna smiled.
I watched over the two girls who helped me to stand.
Sagi really was a big help.
Was she really that bad---was she really planning this all? Or was it really just a coincidence?
We used to get along well, like two beans in a pod.
It all changed on her confession day.
I could always tell she had something for me, but I didn't feel the same way---we were just a friend.
I didn't wanna hurt her in the first place, but. . .
. . .those lies.
I just couldn't take it. Was it all my fault---should we have just talk it all?
Would it change something if I wasn't so rude?
Could we exchange stories, talked about new tricks, and maybe laughed that day out loud---just like. . .
. . .friends?
I sighed. It was complicated to think about all the possibilities, but one thing for sure was the day was almost over.
We couldn't waste anymore time if we didn't wanna miss the party.
The two girls helped me to get back oh Hachetta's saddle. We gallopped through the mountain's slippery path once again.
The only thing I wanted to fill my mind with at the moment is having Fortùna as my dance partner---and maybe if given the chance, I could have a kiss.
And maybe, after this, I could consider on giving Sagi a second chance.
