Chapter 8: Catching up

 It was all silent in the room for a quick second until someone knocked at the door. "I guess I'll get that..." Brett said giving Juliet a wink that made her cringe. It felt a bit crowded so I followed Brett to the living room. As he opened the door I saw a white girl standing on the porch with black wavy hair and dark brown eyes, wearing glasses, jean shorts, Adidas jacket, and a white crop top.

"Umm... may I help you?" Brett said sounding confused,

"Well I am your new neighbor, stop being so grouchy Geez, I brought you guys' cookies" she said rolling her eyes, Brett looked at the cookies in her hands, "Are they homemade?" he said with a serious look, crossing his arms. "Yes why?" she said with a confused look, "Because those say 'chips-ahoy' in other words they're from Walmart" Brett said shaking his head. "So... you don't want them?" she said with a shrug. "I don't know what you've done to them, so no" Brett said closing the door on her face.

Beatrice came running from my room to the door and opened it again as the white girl was still on the porch, in the same position. Beatrice took the cookies and closed the door again, "Boy you crazy, trying to give away perfectly good cookies like that" Beatrice said shaking her head, walking to the couch.

Brett just shrugged his shoulders and went to his room. Before you knew it everyone went from my room to the living room, sitting all comfortably on the couches, except for Natasha she stayed standing, said she'd rather stand.

Everyone spent about 2 hours getting to know each other, Ella and Beatrice connected so well that Ella decided to let Juliet and Beatrice move in too. Minutes later there was another knock at the door. "I'll get it" Juliet said as she opened the door, "Kelly?" Beatrice said standing up, "Hey babe" she said entering and kissing Beatrice on the cheek.

"When did this happen?" I said sounding SO lost in the situation. "Well... when I died and went to... hell... I met Kelly, and we started talking out of the blue, and it just... happened" Beatrice said smiling at Kelly, giving her a hug. Not going to lie I was surprised that Beatrice even had a heart.

Juliet was just about to close the door until a girl pushed it open again. It was our white girl neighbor. "Oh lord, what do you want now?" Brett said raising an eyebrow. "I never got the chance to introduce myself, and I just happened to over hear every single word you all said about yourselves, so I want to introduce myself too!" she said with a slight smile.

"I'm Keyla" she said with a neutral face, "and I'm Maria" she said again but this time with a big grin.

"So... is her name Keyla... or Maria... I'm lost" Kelly said looking at Beatrice sounding concerned. "We are different personalities, but you can just call us Meylia" she said shrugging.

"Well in that case... Meylia, I will be heading out with Kelly now..." Beatrice said holding Kelly's hand and walking outside into Kelly's Mustang, driving away. Meylia just stood there looking at Ella.

"Okay everyone I think it's about time we all head to bed, right?" Ella would say winking over at Jessy. Jessy took a second to think, and then she finally understood what Ella was trying to do. "Oh, umm... that's right, we have to go to work tomorrow" Jessy said gesturing Meylia outside.

"Honestly, I thought that girl would never leave, thank you Jessy!" Vanessa said sighing and grabbing the control to the television. "Can we order some pizza?" Vanessa asked as she put on some Netflix. "Wasn't Uber Eats enough Vanessa?" Natasha said confused. "I'm down for pizza" Brett and I said at the same time. Ella sat next to Brett and took out her phone, "Okay fine I will order it."

"I'll go get changed" I said getting up and going to my room. I entered my room to find Alice sitting on my bed reading her journal. "What took you so long Juvy?" she said shaking her head. "Umm, I was in the middle of something." I said looking at her. "Well you have a task to do, tomorrow." She said with a smile on her face.

"What is it now?" I thought. "You need to murder Juliet and Natasha" Alice said to me like it was nothing. "There is no way I am going to kill them!" I said crossing my arms. "Okay, then poison them, it's your call" she said before she vanished. I changed my clothes and went back to the living room. I wasn't going to ruin my first day back all because of Alice.

I sat next to Ella and then car lights flashed by the window, someone was here. "It's probably Beatrice" Vanessa said walking to the door and opening it. But instead of Beatrice standing at the door it was a tall skinny young woman. "Lizzie you made it!" Jessy said going to the door and gesturing inside. Lizzie? Of all people they could invite for a relaxing time, they decided to invite Lizzie!

"Oh Alice, you're back already?" Lizzie said smiling at me as she walked in and sat on the couch next to me. "Yeah, it was 16 years" I murmured. "What do you mean she's back?" Ella said confused. "Well your roommate here just got out of Juvie for murdering her entire family and some of her friends. "Wait a second..." Lizzie said looking over at Natasha and Vanessa. "You two look awfully familiar have we met before?" Lizzie said crossing her arms.

"Umm, us?" Natasha said looking over at Vanessa with a fake confused face, "Have we met her Vanessa?" Vanessa took a moment to think, "I don't believe we have"
