Loosing sally was life changing... I only knew sally for three years at this time but the bond I built with her was unbreakable. She built my trust up, I always told her my feelings she was my best friend.
By this time I was in year 7, so I was starting a new school so I was struggling to make friends and to settle in so, sally was the one I always turned to for help. Although she couldnt speak she was the best listener and I knew she never judged me.%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
We woke up that morning and normally she would be calling us by 6.30am for her breakfast but that morning was silent, no horse called out to us just the cockerals calling to us. So jo went outside and gave them their feed, but he said Some thing wasn't right with sally, she was standing at the back of her stable constantly turning her head to point at her belly. Jo said
"I think it's colic, often when I horse is suffering from colic it is in pain in it's belly and turns to point at it". He said she would be okay.So I went to school that day as normal, but all day all I could think about was my baby girl, would she be okay? Would I loose her. I returned home that after noon and nothing had changed she was still the same and sadly there was nothing we could do to help her. So I went to bed that might as usual at 9pm, all was silent.

I woke up the next day at 7am, I went down stairs had breakfast, johad ready fed June and I assumed summer aswell, however fiona said jo hasn't come back in can you go and check sally is okay. So I did as I was told and went into the stable block June was looking over her door into sallys stable. As I looked over the door was a life changing moment... Sally was lying on the floor eyes wide open flat on the floor... She had died over night. I dropped to the floor and sobbed. She was gone, my only friend my best friend was gone... I heard a whale from inside from fiona when she realised that summer was gone..
My life changed fromthat day onwards...
