Rejoining the journey | Chapter four.|

Since Y/n could now run, Chara decided that she/he/they would rejoin Frisk in the journey through the underground.

"Pretty Mirror? Come on, You're going to be rejoining Frisk now." Y/n put her/his/their bookmark in the book he/she/they was reading."Okay, But Frisk is probably far away by now..." Chara smirked "I have a shortcut." Y/n put down the book and stood up following Chara to the door. Suddenly, Chara grabbed Y/n's hand and opened the door.

Y/n became extremely dizzy and hugged Chara, Who was apologizing for not giving a warning and hugging back. When Y/n finally let go of Chara (clingy in a sort of cute way-) She/he looked around in shock. "W-What? We were just in snowdin?" Chara chuckled. "Don't worry about it." "...O-ok..." The smaller girl/boy/human looked around in awe. The first thing she/he/they saw was a waterfall with neon cyan water, along with a few glowing flowers, the same color as the water, scattered around the area. Chara slightly chuckled and took his/their/her hand, leading them/her/him to a different area. it was originally light but then it suddenly got darker and darker until the two humans couldn't see anything. Chara told the younger human to stay close and began to lead them through the dark, the pair stepping into another area.

This area had a bunch of small cat dog monsters. Y/n gasped and squealed at the monsters cuteness. "Woops, we made a wrong turn." Y/n ignored the older human's comment and ran over to one and crouched down, petting the small monster. Chara felt annoyed at the younger human's lack of focus on the task to find Frisk. They crouched down beside the girl/boy/human and put their hand on their/his/her back.

"Partner...We have to go find Frisk."

"But it's so cute!"

"So are you but you never distracted me from the mission, Come on."

"..."

"...Are you even listening to me?"

"H-huh? What were you saying?"

"I said you were cute, now come on."

It took Y/n a few moments to realize what Chara had said, and by then Chara had already swooped her/him/them up in their arms and was now walking back into the other dimly lit room, which almost instantly went dark. Y/n wrapped their arms around Chara's neck. Nuzzling them a bit on accident. Chara's smirk was hidden by the dark, along with the faint blush dusting their cheeks. Y/n calmly let Chara carry her/him/them to another area. Suddenly Frisk exited a shop and gasped. rushing over to the pair and taking Y/n into her own arms, hugging the younger boy/girl/human/aTtAcK hElIcOpTer-

"Y/n I missed you so much!" Chara sighed leaning against a nearby wall as the two humans reunited. Chara started thinking about the current timeline. It wasn't until Y/n slightly shook their shoulder that they snapped back into reality. "C-chara, Thanks... For helping me." Chara smiled and pat the younger one on the head. Y/n grinned but her grin faltered (?) "Aren't you coming with us?" Chara shook their head. "Nope, gotta head back and get back to work.". He frowned at the expression on Y/n's face. "Don't worry Partner, I'll see you around." Y/n hugged them and Chara stood there in shock before returning the hug.

"Bye Chara, I'll miss you, but I trust you when you say I'll see you around."

"Bye Y/n, Thank you for trusting me..."

Y/n smiled and let go of the hug, waving and running in the direction Frisk had walked off to. Chara smiled and turned around, using a 'shortcut' to go back to their house.
