A/N: .....hi

1:30 pm

"Okay. So now that everybody's here, we can get started. Hana, where's the pizza."

I chuckle at Jin's eagerness to eat.

We're all lounged in the living room, sprawled around. We're kinda just hanging out for the most part. Some of us are on our phones, Namjoon and Jungkook are playing the game system, Nahee and Taehyung are sitting beside each other....

Speaking of which.

Why are they so close to each other? What are they talking about? What was so funny? Why is he laughing?

Taehyung meets my eyes as he laughs, and his grin slowly disappears into a smirk instead. I widen my eyes and look at Bea instead as I feel my cheeks warm up.

I still really don't know what's going on between us, but I know that I'm attracted to him. And I love being around him. Even if half of the time is him teasing and making fun of me. These past couple of weeks, we've gotten closer, and I can say that we're pretty good friends, but I admit that it gets hard trying not to develop feelings for such a good looking model.

Flashback to 1:15 pm

Once I feel that nobody is paying attention to me and doing their own thing, I finally go over to Taehyung and sit beside him.

"Hi"

He looks over to me, a little shocked by seeing me next to him.

"Hey"

"Okay so, I know it's weird because I was nervous to come here, but it's so much better than being in a car with those too lovers. It was like we literally weren't even there with them."

He smiles, "That bad huh?"

"Taehyung, it was horrible. I was practically gagging the entire trip."

He laughs loudly, his boxy smile coming into view. He then looks ahead of him, smirks, and lowers his head, suddenly sulking.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I question his sudden mood change.

He sighs and brings face back up to me. "Nothing."

I look at where his eyes once were and smirk and then narrow my eyes at him but let it go.

"Hey, why were you acting so weird when you first came?" He quickly changes the subject.

I crinkle my eyebrows, "I was acting weird?"

"Yeah. You smiled at me but it looked a little forced."

I chuckle. "That's weird?"

"Well no. But you looked really uncomfortable too. And I know you're usually uncomfortable with unfamiliar people, but you already know us. And if anything, that tells me something was wrong."

"Huh. I'm kinda surprised you noticed."

Nobody has ever really taken the time to analyze me so well. Even the girls it took them some time to really understand my personality and notice when I was in a bad mood. But what I've come to realize about Tae, is that he's very observant in general. It's probably a normal thing for him to read people so well.

"I'm pretty analytical when it comes to my friends. So what was up? Did I do something?"

"No! I was just-" I sigh "I didn't wanna seem weird or anything..."

"Weird?" He asks confused.

I sigh again. "Yeah," I pause to gather my thoughts before awkwardly clearing my throat, "I was afraid of looking weird to a certain someone. I just got self-conscious I guess..."

"What are you-"

I swiftly move my eyes to Jungkook playing the game on the floor in the corner of the room and Tae begins to understand.

"Ohhh" but then he sucks his teeth and gives me a look.

"Are you serious? That's what you were worried about?"

I look down embarrassed. "If there's a chance that he really does like me, then I don't want to ruin that chance." I mumble

Tae sighs, "Nahee, look at me." I shyly do so. "You don't need to worry about looking or acting a certain way for anybody to like you. Even if it's Jungkook. If he's the guy to think you're too weird or too shy or whatever, which I don't think he is because he's crazy himself, then he's blind to see how much of a sweet and funny girl you are."

A smile breaks out on my face at his words and I begin to feel tears well in my eyes. I sniffle and look back down at my lap, but he nudges, me to look back up.

"Hey," he says softly, "not every guy is some ketchup loving weirdo or some jerk who uses you. There are good guys too. And you're gonna find one of them."

"My chances aren't looking so bright, Taehyung. How do I know who to trust? How do I know who's gonna hurt me?"

"Oh trust me, I will very much tell you if there's a guy whose face I want to punch in if they hurt you, or even think of hurting you. I'll have a hunch when that guy comes."

I sniffle and smile one more time before wrapping my arms around him tightly. He returns the embrace, completely engulfing me now.

"Thank you, Taehyung."

"Of course. I'm always here."

We pull back and I quickly wipe a few loose tears before anyone else in the room can see.

Dang, why do I have to be so emotional

"But you won't hit them too bad right?"

Tae laughs. "Not if you don't want me to, NaNa."

I look at him strangely after hearing the nickname.

He looks up, seemingly thinking of how it sounds.

"I don't think I like it very much. I thought it sounded better in my head."

I shrug, "What about just Na?"

He thinks, "Yeah, okay. It's better."

As Taehyung smiles and gets up to get us a slice of pizza from one of the boxes, I notice the paused video game, and Jungkook's wary gaze at me in the corner of my eyes, and apparently Tae doesn't miss it either. When he returns with his pizza, he urgently whispers to me.

"Go get your man!"

Resulting in a dark blush fanning across my cheeks.
