By the time Jin finishes the food and everyone is settled down, more people begin to show up. There are some who work here and some friends of Yoongi and Namjoon.

Hana has joined Hobi and Jimin with making new friends with some of the few strangers that are here. Bea and Yoongi have hung around me at a table beside the food counter since Nahee seemed to completely vanish into the crowd of people. It's completely unlike her to just wander off alone.

"Have either of you seen her yet?" I ask the two. Bea shakes her head while playing a game on her phone, and Yoongi doesn't seem to hear me. He's too focused on Bea. I internally sigh at the thought of him falling for her.

Growing a crush on her is definitely not the way to go. Bea isn't exactly the best at the whole high school love struck thing. In other words, she's a total player. I've witnessed it countless amounts of times, she leads a guy on, they spend a night or two together, and she moves on.

But my brother? He doesn't let his heart open up for many people, but when he does, it isn't a game to him. It's either the real deal or nothing at all. I absolutely love Bea, but there's no way I'd be okay with her fooling around with my brother if she was just going to throw him to the side afterwards.

I'm so deep into my thoughts, that I didn't notice Yoongi stand from his chair to walk away.

Once he does, Bea looks up from her phone and turns it off, setting it face down on the table. She heaves a deep sigh and rests her head in her hand, staring in the direction Yoongi went.

"What is it?" I ask confused

She shakes her head sadly

"You okay?" I question carefully.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just...thinking"

"Okay..."

I don't push anything further. The last thing I'd want to do is make her angry at me for not being able to drop whatever she doesn't want to spill.

A silence settles over us before she stands.

"I'm gonna go get a drink. Do you want anything?"

"I'm good. Are you sure you're alright?"

She's never been too keen on opening up. Even if I am her best friend of 9 years, she's still careful about what she lets me in on. It makes me sad, but I know it's always been hard for her to let people know her thoughts...

A sad sigh escapes again, "Yeah I'm okay. Thanks, Mirae."

When she's out of my sight and into the flood of people, I take out my phone to try texting Nahee again, I'm starting to grow worried about her. It's not that she can't take care of herself, it's just that....well she can't take care of herself I guess. She's always hated parties, but Hana insisted that she go to have some fun. I just hope she's not in trouble somewhere.

"You're not serious!"

"I'm not joking! I came from the bathroom and he was just eating ketchup. He was pouring it from the bottle and into his empty plate and just eating it with a spoon. "

"That's disgusting!"

"I know! That was the last blind date I went on."

"Well, I understand why."

Nahee and I laugh again, tears coming from our eyes. We finally quiet down after a few minutes.

"But how about a date with someone you already knew?"

She swallows her sip from her drink and answers, "I've never tried it but honestly, it's the same thing. I still wouldn't know what to expect if it were in a different environment than what I would be used to with that specific person. And I think that's a little scary."

I nod my head and she brings her mouth back to her plastic cup.

"So you wouldn't go out with Jungkook?"

She almost chokes on her ice tea. I chuckle at her and hand over a napkin.

"W-where did that come from?"

"I was just thinking about the instagram exchange on your most recent post. That was a little suggestive, don't you think?"

Her mouth gapes open at me as I look at the figure behind her and smirk.

"N-No, not really?"

"Well, I think he kinda likes you." A smirk forms on my face at the thought of playing matchmaker.

She awkwardly chuckles, "No he doesn't, Taehyung."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes"

"Positive?"

"Mmhm"

"Huh. Well then why is he sending a glare in my direction? Seems like a sure sign of jealousy to me."

Nahee's eyes bulge and I laugh loudly at her as she lowers in her seat and rests her head in her arms.

"Is he still looking?" She mumbles while peeking through her arms.

"No" I answer through chuckles

She sits up slowly and looks behind her...

Right at the moment that Jungkook looks away from his friends.

She immediately ducks again and I laugh again.

"Tae! You said he wasn't looking!"

"Well he wasn't!"

She sends me a glare before checking her phone that's vibrated on the table.

She sighs, replying to a text.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah. That was just Mirae checking on me."

I notice the previous happy tone gone as her eyes become sad again.

"Why do you sound so sad about it?"

"I don't know it's just, kinda annoying sometimes I guess. I know she gets worried the easiest in our friend group and everyone knows I'm not good in large crowds like this but...I don't know. "

"I think I get it? You want to try proving yourself? Prove you're just like them, and you're not a baby. You're just a little shy."

Her big eyes look up at me and hold my gaze for a while, thinking.

"Yeah. Something like that."
