I'm standing right outside the plane that is supposed to take me to Dr. Moskowitz's home. I couldn't stop thinking about what he would do to me if he found out I wasn't his daughter. Wait, what happened to his daughter? So many questions that are unanswered! I glance and Dr. Gordon, Fletcher and Aristotle one more time, and I can't help but run up to them and give them a big hug.
"Take good care of yourself." Fletcher said.
"Don't worry, I'll video chat every night before I go to bed."
Fletcher smiles and kneels down to my level and packs a bag of cookies in my hand. I can't help but chuckle.
"Thanks. I'll miss you." I say.
Fletcher gives one last hug and then Dr. Gordon steps aside.
"Good luck Spy0271. I hope all goes well on your mission." Dr. Gordon says.
"Thanks Dr. Gordon. Keep in touch."
"You bet!"
Fletcher brings over Aristotle who whimpers quietly. I kneel down beside him and stroke his fur.
"Don't worry boy, I'll be back before you know it." I laugh.
Aristotle barks playfully as I give him a bone to gnaw on. Then, I hear a sound.
"All passengers boarding the flight to Lancaster, Pennsylvania can get on board. All passengers to Lancaster, Pennsylvania."
I sigh, "I guess that's me."
Dr. Gordon and Fletcher lead me to the door of the plane and I step in. I look out the window and I see Aristotle begging. Fletcher and Dr. Gordon are waving and cheering "good luck" as the plane starts to fly. I grip onto the seat while tears start to spill when Aristotle chases the plane while it's taking off. When they aren't in view, I close my eyes. It's okay G.N. It's a new mission. A new adventure. Don't worry. I read over the files over and over again to make sure I really understand the part of "Joanne". It says her favorite movie is "The Princess Diaries" which I have no clue what that is. I'm not really used to watching some of the new movies because I've been on so many missions. I only get to watch "Harriet the Spy" and the little "Spy vs. Spy" sketch on "Mad". I look out the window and see the barren land glide past. Then, I slowly close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

When I get off the plane, Dr. Moskowitz's face comes into view. He's grinning from ear to ear waiting impatiently for me to sprint and run into his arms. So, I do. I am his "daughter". He picks me up and twirls me around.
"How's my shining star? I missed you Joanne!" He yells.
"I'm great daddy!" I say in my best perky voice.
"How was boarding school?"
"Absolutely splendid. My professors were the nicest people in the world! Next to you, of course!" I try to sound excited.
He grins. "How is Professor McNarvey? She giving you trouble?"
"At first she was strict and mean, but then later on she became nicer."
"Great! How did you do in all of your classes?"
I struggle to remember this bit of information. It was in the A category, but what was it? I wing it.
"A in English and A+ in everything else!" I lie.
"That's my Joanne! Always studying!"
Always? You have to be kidding.
"So, how have you been?"
"I failed to capture Spy0271 while you were away."
Uh oh, how do I react?
"Why do you have a big grudge on her anyway?" I say hesitantly.
"Reasons you won't understand until you are older, Joanne."
"Don't worry daddy, you will catch her someday."
"Thanks sweetie." He kisses me on the forehead.
I barf in my mouth. This man is insane! Why did I also say "you're going to catch her someday"? Obviously he will because I am not Joanne! I straighten my posture and Dr. Moskowitz hires a cab driver to drive us home. As we hop in the cab, Dr. Moskowitz takes out his iPad.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Just checking some business stuff."
"Spy stuff?"
"Yes, I need her captured!"
"But dad, I just got back from boarding school! Can't we spend a little time with each other and you can do that spy stuff later?"
"Well, Joanne..."
I do the puppy dog face.
He puts he iPad back into his bag and gives in. "Fine. If you insist."
I fake smile and lean on his shoulder for the rest of the car ride.
***************
"Joanne! Time for bed!" Dr. Moskowitz yells.
"Five more minutes?" I ask while my eyes are glued onto the television.
"No, it's 12:03, you need to get to bed!"
"Fine."
I brush my teeth and put on some of Joanne's pastel pajamas. I climb into bed and Dr. Moskowitz tucks me in.
"Goodnight Joanne. I love you."
"I love you too dad."
As he leaves, he quietly shuts the door and I pretend to fall asleep. When he finally leaves, I grab my watch and think to myself: What the heck? My worst enemy just said he loves me and I replied with "I love you too dad". Kind of creepy. I send a video message to Fletcher and Dr. Gordon.
Day 1 was okay. He asked me about my grades and it sort of stumped me, but I just said A and A+. He was doing some spy work on his iPad but I wasn't able to catch a glimpse of it. He kept talking about how his plan failed for capturing me. I miss you! Give Aristotle a treat for me!
I put my watch away so it is hidden when Dr. Moskowitz enters the room again. I hide under the covers, close my eyes, and fall asleep. Goodnight, Joanne.
