The first people we see when we open our eyes
For the very first time is our parents
And siblings or other family members
To us they are our closest friends
And best Ally when something is amiss
They'll cheer you up when your down
Help when you get hurt
Help you stand when you've fallen down
They hold you up when you can't stand alone
They're always close to us
Near or far no matter the distance
If we need help they'll be there
They'll teach us right from wrong
And try to guide us in the right direction
When we make the wrong turn
Or when we get turned around
They'll always be there
Whether we see it or not
Protecting you from any danger
Even if you may not see it
They'll always be there for you
Whenever you may need
