Charlie's P.O.V>

There was a loud knock on my apartment door. "Hey Ethan" I smiled as I opened the door. "How're you?"

"I'm good Charlotte, how're you?" Ethan asked shutting the door behind him.

"Yeah I'm okay, I mean considering the circumstances" I said with a weak smile. "Do you want a cup of tea or water or something?" I offered walking into the lounge.

"Yeah I'll have some water, what do you want?" He asked.

"I'll have some water too please" I smiled taking a seat on the sofa. Looking through my schoolwork. I may have left my old life behind but I still had to stay knowledgeable.

"So you been in touch with Jace or anyone?" Ethan asked handing me a bottle of water before taking a seat on the opposite sofa.

"No like I said to you. That part of my life is over, I'm done with it"

"But it's not over is it" Ethan said.

"They don't know, they won't know. I don't plan on going back" I said taking a sip of my water. "I made the choice and I have to stick to it"

4 weeks ago-

They were safe that's all that mattered, I didn't care how much it hurt me or how upset I was. I didn't care that I missed them all much, because they were safe and out of harms way. That's all that I cared about.

I still kept an eye on them, everyday. Cleo, Liv and Jace went back to school, it took them three days but they finally managed to get back to school.

I pulled out of the school parking lot after making sure they made it to school safely. Yes I was keeping watch on them, I told them I would and I meant it.

I decided to drive to the store since I was hungry and I needed to eat. Once I got there I pulled into a parking space and got out, walking into the store I decided I was hungry for pasta.

As I walked down the isle looking for a ready made pasta, I accidentally bumped into something. "Oh sorry" I said looking at the person.

"That's alright love" he smiled. "I'm Ethan" he extended his hand for me to shake.

"Charlotte" I said shaking his hand smiling. He wasn't a too bad looking guy, but he was nothing compared to Jace. I can't say I wasn't a tad creeped out by the way he was smiling at me, but it was probably due to the fact that I missed Jace. But no matter how much I missed him, I was doing the right thing right?

"So what's a beautiful girl like you doing shopping alone?" Ethan asked.

"Picking up lunch" I said bending down and picking up a bacon and chicken salad. "How about you?"

"We'll I was looking for something for dinner tonight. I was just going to grab a ready made meal, but then a beautiful girl banged into me and I thought about asking her to join me for dinner"

"Nothing like being over confident aye?" I asked laughing. It was natural, the first natural laugh I've done in forever. I hadn't smiled or laughed since I had left Jace.

There is no perfect words I can use to describe how much I love and care for Jace, how much Cleo and Liv are like sisters to me. Simply because there are no perfect words for it. Love is indescribable, simply because it's different for everyone. I believe love is when you will do anything for that one person, you would do anything to protect them to keep them safe, to make sure that they are happy, even if it means you aren't happy.
