Back to the Past
"What the freaking hell just happened?"
Five and all the other Umbrella Academy members find themselves standing in front of a large house, hands intertwined. They had just escaped the apocalypse through Five's time-traveling ability.
"Clearly Five's plan worked, for that we should be grateful enough," Allison said slowly breaking herself from the group.
"Yeah, he succeeded in making us look like kids again. Thanks, Five," Klaus' sarcastic remark earned a glare from the young lad. He coughed, "but yeah, pretty grateful indeed."
Just like what happened to Five before, the rest of the team had their bodies shrunk to the age of thirteen.
"So, where are we?" Luther whose muscles are back to normal and carrying an unconscious Vanya around his arms asked.
Diego turned to him and said, "You mean when are we?"
The rest of the group turned to look at the boy who brought them there, seeking for answers. After all, he's the only one to know.
Five glanced up to meet their gazes. Even he himself is confused.
Everything happened too fast that he didn't even focused on picking a year but solely on escaping the disaster that was to befall. He looked around, trying to find anything that could tell them of what year they have just landed on.
"Well, from the looks of it—"
He was interrupted by the sound of the gate opening and a soft voice saying, "Dad, they're here!"
All six heads turn to a girl about their age, wearing a black dress. Her hair's in a bun, staff in hand coming out of the mansion. A few seconds after, a man wearing a monocle also appeared.
Five's eyes squint as he looks at the tall man beaming with familiarity.
"Glad to see that you were able to escape the apocalypse," he greeted, taking off his glasses. "But please do know that above that I am extremely disappointed you weren't able to save the world."
The group exchanged glances with their eyebrows furrowed.
"The name's Reginald Hargreeves," he introduced with a small smile, "Welcome to the 1970s."
