"We will depart in London, in 5 minutes. Please remain in your seats." I smiled at the mention of arriving back to my favorite place. I really missed the taste of fish and chips; it's been half a century since I had any real delectable ones from home.
Once we arrived to London, I called for a cab to deliver me to the nearest hotel and rented out a decent size room for the next few months I planned on staying here.
My phone started to buzz, "Hello?"
"Hey Tana, its Sal are you here yet?" He asked in a gentle voice as I smiled, it's been years since we've talked and he would always help me whenever I came here.
"Just got in, I want to take a shower set up my things properly and we will meet at our usual Pub right?" It felt odd saying that instead of bad, but I really did miss home.
"Of course, see you there in an hour then?" Sal said with a well-known smile on his face, I didn't even have to see him but I could hear it in his voice,
"Yes, goodbye see you then Sal." I hung up the phone and started to lay out all my pictures and articles on the bed that had any leads to Mark.
This felt like one of those cheesy cop moments, where the detective places pictures and articles in a board and uses string to connect them. The only difference was that my rope was purple, because that's my favorite color.
Quickly, I take a shower and decide to wear a grey t-shirt with black jeans and a black jacket putting my hair in a ponytail as I grabbed my keys and a blood bag for the road.

"Sal, hey baby." I say with a smile as he hugged me and I squeezed him tightly as we sat on the bar stools and started to chat.
"Damn, you're looking good I see. How long has it been?" I called the bartender over and ordered a tall glass of brandy before answering.
"5 years, I think? Man, how are you and Lisa especially?" I said nudging his shoulder as he grin foolishly in love.
"She's great; Lisa wants you over for dinner sometime this week if you can make it work?" Sal said as I thanked the bartender for my drink having a sip.
"I'll put that on my agenda as soon, as I get back to my hotel room. So, any leads on our special case?" Sal shook his head as I groaned drinking more of my brandy. Mmm delicious, I loved the burning sensation.
"Haven't really been looking to be honest, the whole thing with the Angels has been scaring Lisa half to death. I practically fought with her all day just to let me out of the house now to come see you." I scoffed at his comment and chuckled having a sip of my drink.
"I've noticed. Are all of our kinds just staying indoors, because of the whole mess?" He nodded a little as I looked around the bar seeing humans mingle with their own parties and no other vampires but us here.
"Haven't you been watching the news? Honestly, we haven't started this war I think there is another force even greater than the two of our kinds at hands." Sal's voice quivered in fear something, that hasn't happened in years and for once my guard was down about this whole mess with the Angels."
"Sal, our kind lives by an oath of honor. None of us strike unless they do first, even our rebels try to act like they would when we know for a fact they wouldn't. I'm telling you someone's messing with faith, this shouldn't be happening." Sal shrugged as I finished my drink ordering another.
"I don't know, but we need to find Mark. People are starting to gossip and whisper about this, if we don't find him soon word could get to him." I shivered in horror at the sudden mention of his name and groaned in rage.
