Sophie had always dreaded walking to the grocery store. She hated doing it while the sun was still up. Now the moon had replaced the sun and she dreaded it even more. Not only because she would meet a lot of people her age going out to town at these hours but it also means that she would see just as much of the good and bad on their shoulders. Most of the time, when evil one dominating the air, Sophie would feel a chill on her spine. It scares her that she can hear their evil whispers, to kill, to steal. Somehow those bad sides become wilder at night and Sophie could hear them all.

Sophie had her head down all the time she was walking to the store. A large pair of headphones covering both her ears. It helps to muffle up the voices.

Sophie was at the Division Street now. Just one quick turn to the left and Joe's Grocer would be there. Then, she bumped into someone. Sophie almost fell from the hard impact but a pair of arms reached out and steadied her.

"Oh thank you. I-" Sophie was cut short when she realized the person she had bumped into was Noah, the young man she had mistakenly thought was Natalie's cheating ex-boyfriend. He also happens to be the guy that Sophie had a hard time keeping off her mind. Not because of how good looking he is, but how he had acted that day.

"Noah," Sophie said. She took a step back, breaking free from his grip. "I'm so sorry; I swear I didn't notice you nor did I do it on purpose, it's totally on accident. Oh my god! I have never been so clum-" a hand covering Sophie's mouth to stop her rambling. Looking closer at him as he takes off his pair of earphones and looks at Sophie, she realizes that there's something different about him.

His eyes... Sophie thought. They were a pair of emerald. Wait, isn't Noah from the café had blue eyes?

"Pardon?" a little smirk decorates his defined face as he uncovers Sophie's mouth.

Sophie can feel her blood rushing to her face and now. His voice, Sophie said to herself. It was different. Very different.

"I was just apologizing about bumping into you and that it wasn't on purpose and I still feel bad about the kick the other day." Sophie blurted out the word so fast she was out of breath when she ends.

Green eyed Noah observed her. His face lit up in recognition, "Oh, you're that girl. Sorry 'bout that, didn't really recognize you, but my name's Elliot, I'm Noah's hot best friend." Elliot holds his hand out. Sophie eyes his hand carefully.

Elliot... where have I heard that name?

Hesitantly, Sophie shook his hand. It was warm and callous.

"I'm sorry. You guys look so similar," now that she's said it, she realized how oddly similar Elliot is to Noah. She could have mistaken them as twins. Aside from the eye colour and the way they dressed up, they looked just like each other.

"Well, that can't be right, I know I'm better looking than that guy," the little chuckle that accompanied his words melted a piece of Sophie's heart. She shakes her head lightly while slightly smiling. His smile was infectious. Talking to Elliot, she takes it all back, they are nothing alike. Elliot is so easy going... so dreamy too.

"I need to go now. It was really nice to officially meet you-?" Elliot's green eyes bore into her.

"Sophie." Her voice comes out in a squeak and not at all attractive as she heard in her head.

Elliot pats her head lightly. "Alright, Sophie. See you around!" He walks away, putting his earphones back.

Sophie watched as Elliot walks away and disappear at the corner. Elliot, she whispered. A pang of realization hits her. Elliot was the name that the blue-eyed Noah was talking about at the café. He was talking to himself and Elliot was the name that popped out as if they were two different people conversing with each other.
