It was this place again...the void. I cried out for help. But my voice had stopped working. The light appeared again so I went for it and I woke up again.
I shot up, hoping to be in on my couch waking up from a dream again, but no. I was on a prison like bed in a cell, I was still fully dressed and the cell looked pretty normal. I look around and saw there was another bed across from me but clearly empty. I got up and saw that Zack sitting in a chair outside my cell and Hellfire leaning against the wall outside my cell watching me.
"Finally your awake." Zack said standing up. "What took you so long."
"Where am I?!" I asked him pissed. "Where have you taken me?!"
"Shut your trap." said Hellfire as he was counting money. "I don't want to hear your voice."
"Hellfire don't be rude." said Zack as he walked over to my cell. "I will happily answer any questions that you have."
"Don't answer anything he has to ask." Hellfire hissed at Zack. "He doesn't deserve an answer."
"Now, now." Zack said with a mocking tone. "He is our guest, so behave yourself."
"Fine!" Hellfire scowled. "But I'm not answering any of his questions."
"You don't have to." Zack said in a matter-of-fact tone and he turned to me. "What can I help you with."
"Where am I!?" I asked again. "What did you do to me?!?"
"You are under a warehouse by the pier, as for what we did to you. As you can clearly tell Hellfire and I are not human." he began. "Hellfire knocked you out by sending extreme amounts of power to your brain and it basically shut your body down for a while."
"If you are not human what are you?" I asked more curious than angry now.
"What WE are is not important right now. What's more important is what YOU are." he said to me, obviously trying to avoid the question.
"Imma human obviously. Would I really be anything else."
"A human doesn't have an missing eye and can't close it." Hellfire hissed from the corner. "You shouldn't have survived your mother but somehow you did."
Zack somehow phased through the bars and moved my hair away from my face. I didnt stop him as I simply stood in shock that he went through a solid object. He stared into my eyes, into the darkness of my eye socket. As the bit of blood dripped from it, for some reason the blood never dripped farther than my nose.
"You should be dead but your not..." Zack said. "And that makes you special."
"W-what? Why?! I've seen many people with missing eyes." I said confused. "Why should I have died?"
"People barely survive those loses, and most that are living lost them a different way other than being stolen with a knife digging into their skull." Hellfire said as if mocking me for it. I wanted to clock the sonuvabitch right in the goddamn face.
All of a sudden we heard footsteps coming down the hall Zack turned around and walked through the bars again. As he appeared to be waiting for someone the steps got louder and louder. They sounded like dress shoes and a cane  hitting the ground. Eventually I see a man in a suit turn the corner, he looked about 60. He was in a black tux with a red tie along with black leather gloves holding a cane.
"Aaaahhh so your the one that's been avoiding me." he said as he entered the room, while Zack bowed and Hellfire says under his breath something like 'suck up.' "Welcome Dreamscape, I trust that Zack has been making your stay more comfortable?"
"N-No! I still don't know why I'm here or what the hell you guys are!" I shouted with fear. Something I haven't felt in a while.
He look at Zack and Hellfire and said "You haven't told him yet." With a confused tone in his voice
"We didn't think you wanted us to tell him," Hellfire said still counting money. "We figured he would be to scared to talk to us."
"Good point hellfire. I didn't think of that." the man said. "Let me properly introduce myself. I am Death of the four horsemen of the apocalypse." He bowed. I couldn't believe what I was hearing 'Death of the four horsemen?' how is that possible. I've read about them and Death, The leader of the four and is by far the strongest. But why is he looking for me?
"Pardon the get up, allow my to show you my true form." As Death was saying that he began to morph. His suit started to transform into a cloak and his cane into a scythe, his face transformed into a skull and his height grew from a 5'8 to a 7'8 he easily towered over Hellfire's 5'6, Zack's 5'10 and my 5'8. I stumbled back frightened and stared up at the towering being. "Ahhhh much better that form drains a lot of energy and magic."
"W-Wow Y-You really are Death." I stammered very, VERY frightened. "Why are you looking for ME."
He pointed his scythe at me. "Because you are the fateless one," he said to me his eyes flaring. "The one who has died, yet escaped Death himself."
"As for what we are..." Zack spoke up. "Me and Hellfire are demons."
Fatless one? Demons? Death? My head was starting to pound with the force of a thousand men. Trying to comprehend this was making my head hurt, the room was spinning and I felt like I was gonna pass out.
Death, seeing my distress morphed back into his human form. "Zack, unlock his cage," Death demanded and at his command Zack unlocked the cage and came in and helped me up. "Come with me young Dreamscape there is much to learn." Death declared as he turned down the long hallway.
I followed him down with Zack not far behind and Hellfire behind him until we came to a staircase that led up to the surface. I smelled the salt of the sea and the oil of the boats and Death turned to me.
"Please, do not try to run nor tell anybody. I'd hate to have to kill someone when its not their time." he said with a sincere look in his eyes. "There is a car up there, a limo get in, don't question it."
I nodded and we walked up the stairs and sure enough there was a limo. Though, a small one still a limo as I walked up to it the door opened by itself witch as weird as there was no sensor or anything. But I still got in, Zack sat next to me and Hellfire diagonal with me next to Death.
I looked to the front behind me to see there was no driver. What? I thought. No driver huh?
"If your wondering about the driver, then the car is not actually a car." Death said after I was done looking back. "This is my horse Despair, he has to disguise himself. Mainly because if they saw someone riding a skeletal flaming horse it would scare people." As if on cue the Despair neighed and started driving itself to our destination.
"Well now you know what we are." said Zack suddenly. "Do you have any more questions?"
I thought for a moment. "What kind of demons are you guys?" I asked as I studied a few demons and wanted to see what they where.
"Kind?" Zack said thinking. "Well I'm a shadow demon, and Hellfire issss.... I have no clue honestly."
"Alas, Hellfire is a mystery to us all." Death said with a sigh. "All we know is that Hellfire is more powerful than he appears."
Hellfire sat silently looking out the window.

*****************************

We finally arrived at our destination. The door opened and Death signaled for us to get out. What I saw was very beautiful, a large mansion stood before us and it was massive being at least 10,000 feet of floor space with 4 stories not including any basements or attics.
"Impressed?" I hear Death from behind me as he walked up beside me. "This will be your new home in you accept my offer, and the prophecy." He started to walk towards the house and a man stepped out greeting him. He waved me over, I was about to walk over but something yanked at my hood and pulled me down. I looked over my shoulder to see hellfire grabbing on to me.
"Listen here new guy." He began. "I don't like you, at all as a matter of fact. But if the boss likes you, I will tolerate you. However one false move and I will kill you. Got it?" I nodded my head and he let go. God damn I shoulda slapped him. I continued toward the house and with Zack to my right and Hellfire to my left. I was rather trapped.
Death welcomed me in and the inside was beautiful. There was a large staircase that lead up and split to the left and right and  up a level and to my right and left 2 long hallways while beneath the 2 different directions of staircase there was a door that both appear to be locked.
"Master Death!" said a female voice from the top of the staircase "Your back!" The voice came closer. I saw the girl descend the staircase, a maid of sorts that looked about 17 or so rather short however.
"Yes Mildread. Please take these mens coats." said Death in a sweet voice. "They may be staying for a while so tell the others to prepare the guest rooms."
"Of course master Death." She smiled and walked right through him. Now I could see she was a ghost. "Here let me take that." she said as she pointed to my sweatshirt.
"N-No thanks." I stammered. "I'm fine with it on."
"Of course." she said with a smile. She took Zacks fancy jacket and Hellfire, like me, keep his hoodie. She turned to Death. "I will inform the others right away." And she floated back up the stairs.
"Come Dreamscape I need to talk to you alone." Death said as he walked down the right hall. "Hellfire, Zack, make yourselves at home."
I followed him down the hall until we came to a sitting room with 2 chairs facing a fireplace. The room was rather big and had bookcases lining the walls that were filled with books. Death sat in a the chair to the right and motioned me to sit in the left.
"Now then you probably have some questions and now is the time to ask them." Death said as he picked up a cigar and lit it. "Ask me anything you like and I will give you the best answer I possibly can."
"You called me the 'Fateless one.' What does that mean?" I asked after a while. "An-And this prophecy? What does it all mean?" I was panicking a bit now until Death raised his hand and I stopped.
"There was no avoiding this question, was there?" He said as a book flew off the shelf and into his hand. "The 'Fateless one' the one destined to become one of the most powerful demons in the world. The first ever Dream keeper demon. That is you Dreamscape. The prophecy is told, 'A young teenage boy with a missing eye taken by his own mother will become the most powerful demon the world has ever seen. Even being able to surpass the four horsemen. A Dream demon.' You are that demon." As he said al this the book flipped through its pages and showed me the prophecy. I wouldn't take it all in, the room was spinning and spinning until I finally passed out and found myself back in the void. However this time, there were stars.
