The new hero has one job. To capture the villain from the neighbor village, who is accused of stealing, injuring guards or even killing them, etc, and return him to justice.
Well, I am new to the job so I am a bit scared. I had heard rumors about who territoried the poor villagers.
They all were nasty and none of them seemed to be talking about a human being.
'I have to deal with a living monster!'
That is what I thought until I reached the said village.
I approach the small square and I see a tall boy, probably same age as me with black hair and black eyes.
He is just like the description the general gave me. A crowd of kids is gathered around him listening carefully to what he is saying.
I remain on my horse curious to what he is saying. "There comes a shoulder caring a mighty sword."
I laugh a little at his gesture to as holding a sword, he looks at me and gestures me to leave.
I nod my head no and he turns his head towards the kids continuing the story as he shows me his middle finger.
I roll my eyes and continue listening to his story.
"He will tear the city down-"
"No, he won't!" I scream a little and get down from my horse, furious."He'll come to save everyone from evil men!" I say with jazzy hands.
"B-but... knights and soldiers are the evil ones!" a small boy says as he hugs his teddy bear.
"Who said that kiddo?" I get down to his level and ask him with a sweet voice.
"Haru did" the boy slowly says.
"Haru knows everything about knights and soldiers," a girl says.
"Yeah, he has also fought with them!" another boy continues as he mimics a sword fight.
I sigh and look at Haru.
"Seriously?" I smile at the end as he looks at the sky pretending not to know what the kids were talking about.
"We have a lot to talk about Haru," I say as I tie his hands behind his back.
"Wait, are you a soldier?" The boy with the teddybear asks me with a sad and scared voice.
"No, I am a royal knight" and with that, I get Haru on my horse.
"Please don't take Haru away! He is the only one around here to be brave enough to protect us!" the same girl says again. I look at the wanted man.
"He is wanted for stealing, lying and even hurting one of our men!" I say back.
"He did it for me. I was hungry, my parents didn't have much money that month and I stole an apple. Haru got in a fight to buy me time to escape." another boy confesses.
'I am confused, why would he be protecting them?' I shake that thought off.
"No matter what the case, I have to take him back."I snap back regretting my tone.
"You can take him back if you capture him," the girl says smiling looking at my horse.
I look back too and I see Haru missing. Then I turn my head left and see him running.
'I knew I should have tied his legs too!'
I start running behind him.he makes some obstacles for me as he passes by. I overcome them and follow him.
