Me and Shawn moved in together at his apartment about 6 months ago. Me and Shawn were closer than we ever were and happy. Today we were having dinner with all the siblings including my cousind. Its like a little party. Aaliyah was bringing her boyfriend with her.
"Babe, promise me you will be cool when Alex comes by and don't go all over protective brother" I say to Shawn putting on my makeup
"I am not over protective" He said making me turn to him.
I gave him a look that said 'really, you wanna go down on that road'
"Alright, I can be. But baby she is growing up too fast" He said
"Babe, I know and you cant change that. She has waited 4 months to tell you that she was dating because she was afraid to tell you knowing hiw protective you are to her.
And I finally convinced her to bring him tonight so you can meet him and realize that he hiw perfect he is for her" I explain him "so do you promise me?"
"Okay" He said

"How do I look?" She says standing up twirling

"Gorgeous" I say bringing her close to me in my arms around her waist
"Really?" She said getting excited
"Really! You always do my princess" I say making her smile
"You are just saying that to make me feel good" making me giggle
"No, I am saying it because it is true and I love you" I just say it. I havebeen wanting to for a long time and I finally did
"What did you just say?" She said looking shocked
"That I love you. We hace been together for over a year now and I wanted to say for a long time but this right here felt like a right time an-" she cut me off
"I love you too" She said kissing me. Before I could say anything there was a knock on the door.
"Wrong timing" I whisper so Alia couldn't hear. But she giggled so I guess she heard.
"Hey Liyah and Alex. Come on in" I heard her say.
"Shawn Liyah and Alex are here"
"Hey Liyah, Hey Alex" I say.
I was trying my best to stay calm and try to get along with him.
"Hey Alex wanna join me and set up the music on the balcony?" I ask I figured i would get to know him
"So Alex, what do you do?"
"I uh, am studying to Accountant. I start my interning next month" "That's cool" I say
"I love your songs. I DJ in my free time and have DJ some of your songs" He says
"Oh yeah, maybe you can take control tonight if you don't mind. I would love to hear you spin"
"Sure, I would love to"
"Okay, Lets go in and get all the things we will need." I say and he nodds. I am not gonna lie I am starting to like him
"Hey babe, where is the spinner?"
"Its in the cabinet in music room. I covered it with a clothe" She said yelling from the kitchen.
"This way Alex" I was excited for him to spin
We got all the things out and set up and now we were sitting and waiting for others to arrive. Aaliyah begged on coming early and come help Alia.
"Hey guys I am heading to kitchen to grab some water, would you like anything?" I ask Aaliyah and Alex they shook their head
"No, thank you Shawn" Alex said. I go to the kitchen seeing Alia is almost done
"Baby, I like Alex he is fun" I say making Alia look up and smile
"I am glad to hear that" She said kissing me
"Guys everyone is here" Aaliyah said. We all go out greet others and enjoy the night.
Alia being the fun aunt she played with her neices and nephews. Me and the guys were out on the patio while all the girls were inside gossiping.
I asked them and important question which was.... Nah I am not gonna tell you all yet. It was about midnight the kids were asleep and everyone was ready to go home and leaving. Aaliyah and Alex were the last to leave
"Hey Alex, welcome to family man" I say giving him a bro hug.
They smile and leave. Amd me and Alia change amd call it a night cuddling.
