I'm afraid to say it
To scream or even bare it
Watch the nightmare chock me
Compliment what I can and can't see
But never let me be
It consumes my brain
Never leaves me normal, just in pain
My eyes closed one tear from another
Man! I wish I had a brother
Lord protect me in this dark age
And relieve me from this cage
Filled with fear that seems to upstage
My dreams and hopes held hostage
I'll never face it even with my eyes open
All I do is put to much hoping
To much darkness filled with fear
The stress is gone with just one beer
No.. The darkness, the dark
Can leave you with nothing but a mark
Not even a match can put up a spark
Yes.. I'm talking about the dark
I'm not afraid, but afraid
It's all thanks to the mistakes I've made
I guess it's the price I have to pay
No I wasn't feeling okay
It gets you, it suffocates you
But most of all. The darkness.......... Destroys you
