The person pushed me against a wall in a dark alley. He grabbed both of my wrists and pinned them over my head, then held them with one of his hands while his other was against the wall.
"Hey, princess." His voice was raspy and his breath smelled of tobacco and alcohol. "Your skirt shouldn't be so short, you know." He smirked and fiddled with the hem of my uniform skirt. I started to panic and my heart was beating fast.
Sweat started to drip down my forehead and the man wiped it away with his thumb. "It's not hot here, girl. Stop sweating." He sighed and the scent of whiskey was blown all over my face. I heard some rustling in a dumpster next to us and I saw a boy run to the man. Suddenly, everything went black.

Vernon's POV
As I was walking home from the library, I saw Y/N walking ahead of me and a man dragged her into a dark alley. I ran behind a dumpster that was close by and watched. "Hey, princess," the man said. "Your skirt shouldn't be so short, you know." He touched the end of her skirt and Y/N started to turn very pale.
A drop of sweat slid down her forehead and the man cleaned it and said, "it's not hot here, girl. Stop sweating." Y/N cringed when he exhaled. Suddenly, I came to my senses. I ran over to them and before I could fight the man, he slapped Y/N really hard and she passed out on the floor. "What the hell?!?!" I shouted and punched him. Blood started to drip down his nose as he swung a punch at me but I ducked.
"Who do you think you are?!" I yelled at the man. He chuckled and slowly walked closer to me. I kept backing away but he wouldn't stop. He bent down to my eye level, held my chin, and addressed, "a person you shouldn't mess with." His rank breath got all over my face as he smirked.
I smacked his hand away from my face and backed away. His outfit looked familiar, it even had a name tag on it. It read, Choi Soo Bin.
Y/N's POV
My eyes slowly opened and I saw two men standing in front of me, a little to the right. I was confused for a second, but then I remembered what happened.
I slowly stood up, trying not to make noise, and I punched the man on the side of his head. He stumbled a little then tried to fight back when he regained his balance. Fortunately, the other boy and I fought him until he couldn't fight anymore. My legs were to weak to stay standing and I collapsed on the floor and burst into tears. I glanced at the boy and realized he was the one from the library, Vernon. When he saw me looking, he ran to me and hugged me tight. "Y/N!!!! Are you okay?!?!?! Did he hurt you at all?!?"
I'm sitting there, my face damp with tears, confused to why Vernon cares about me so much. We're not even officially friends yet. I wonder why he cares so much about me when we only met each other because of our teacher.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for saving me." I hug him back and smile while wiping my tears. After I pull away, I awkwardly say, "well, I'm going home now. See you at school." After I start walking back, I notice him trying to catch up to me.
"I live the same way as you." He said as he walked beside me.
I notice a groan behind me. Hesitantly, I turn around and see that man getting back up from the ground and walk towards me. I don't play, though. I seem all sweet and bubbly but I'll put you in your place if I have to. So instead of running away from him, I walk closer, keeping my chin up.
He grabs my waist and pushes me against the wall again, but this time, my confidence has won over my fear. I smirk and wrap my arms around his neck, leaning in to kiss him, but before I touch his lips I use my hands and pull him down, kicking him in the balls at the same time.
He slowly falls to the ground while groaning in pain while I walk away back to Vernon, who's standing there in surprise.
"Let's go," I said and started walking home.
"Y/N. Do you know who that is?," Vernon asked me, still shocked.
"No, I didn't see his name tag. Who is he?," I asked, starting to get curious.
"He's Choi Soo Bin. One of the 'popular guys.' He has 3 other friends, Choi Yeon Jun, Choi Beom Gyu, and Kang Tae Hyun. They're the group of students who give us weird looks every day," Vernon explained.
"Oh, okay. They seem important, why?"
"Well like I said, they're the 'popular guys.' They're basically like the cliche bad boys in those stories. I heard that not one girl has ever rejected them in their lives. They also get slack from the school because their families partially do business with the school."
It makes sense, now that I think about it. And now that I know their names, I recall a few times where I heard girls talk about how handsome they are. Actually, not really talking, more like falling head over heels for them.
Vernon interrupted my thoughts by speaking again. "Oh, and I almost forgot, they call themselves TXT."
