He's fat.
Ever since Jisung was young he loves to eat. I mean, who doesn't right? But to his case, he kind of 'overdid' it.
If he's stress over the stuffs from school, friends, or family he recharge himself by eating. He loves to eat everything especially sweets, cookies, cupcakes, cakes— OH his favorite, Cheesecake.
He loves the mixture of the different tastes present in it. He loves the feeling of the soft cream inside his mouth smearing it with his tongue.
Well, as expected his body got heavier and wider A.K.A fat. His pants even failed him and gave up on him. His shirt suffocates him most of the time. The fabrics were stretched and hug his upper body tightly, making him look like a spring roll.
At first, he don't see anything wrong from it. Like, what's wrong with eating and spoiling yourself? What's wrong with wearing plus-sizes clothes?
Not until he stepped his foot in his class back on 7th grade. He received judgemental looks and whispers. Making him uncomfortable in every way possible.
The next few days, the people in his school became more vocal about their not-so-kind opinions, telling that he's a pig , elephant, whale even.
Some girls with their own cliques tell him that he's ugly and disgusting. The summary of his life was simple, it's depressive. He don't have friends nor merely acquittance. Even his teachers made him a laugh stock. He got depressed to the point that he cut his wrist with a razor blade, only hurting himself because his blood vessels were too covered with fats. Funny but true.
Oh God, he doesn't even know how many times he silently cried at night over something he cried over 20 minutes ago. Painful thing was, he can't tell anyone, not even to his parents. He's a heavy burden literally. What's more to it if he opened up? Plus, what's the point of telling them? His parents will only throw tantrum in his school, making him look even more pathetic and an easy target.
But hey, at least he does well in most of his subjects, well of course except for Physical Education.
Yes, Han Jisung, "The pig" as his school labeled him, is a genius. He gets perfect scores in every academic subject especially math without even having a recap or review of his lesson. To say he's a genius, was already a given so the thought of exercising and undergoing on a diet already run on his mind, well sometimes.
But it seems like that he can't do it, to leave his cheesecakes , pizza and coke— oh gosh, don't even mention the food on McDonald's. The thought of not tasting this foods makes him even more depressed without even starting it.
So on his 8th grade, same old story to be told. He wakes up, go to school, gets bullied, go home, cry, then sleep. Pretty typical for a depressed student.
What spiced his 8th grade was his new found Friend, Lee Felix. Felix came from Australia who doesn't care about physical attributes unlike most of the people in his school, country even.
They became best friends, since the day Jisung complemented Felix's freckles (which he cover with make up—since the people in korea treats it just like a dirt on his face). Jisung's fat life became a little bit bright than it used to.
In the middle of the school year, Lee Minho suddenly paid attention to him.
Lee Minho is your typical heartthrob of the school. Of course, Jisung was well aware about the latter's well being. Hell, he's the school's topic 24/7.
What weird was, he's kind and gentle to Jisung. He often flirts and gets clingy to Jisung, this doesn't get slipped from Felix's eyes.
Felix's fear was Jisung falling inlove with Minho, then end up getting used for homeworks and projects. Quite cliché, I must say.
Jisung, the weak hearted he was, fell in love. Felix didn't stop reminding his Best Friend from what was coming. It became daily basis for the both of them.
Not only a week, after Jisung recognized his feelings, Minho and him started to "date".
To say Felix was frustrated and worried was an understatement but he let his best friend be, "to what makes him happy" he said.
After a month of dating, Jisung started to bring Minho's homework at home and doi it, willingly. Days after that, it became his duty.
Day by day, Lee Minho distant himself to Jisung. Low-key—high-key obviously, using the latter to his advantage.
Jisung fell hard and deep to Minho to the pointed he was blinded by it.
Minho's own cliques started to "ask" Jisung to do their homeworks as well. Not to Jisung's concern though.
"What makes minho happy and proud, I'll do it." That's what Jisung said.
Not until the night of the Prom came.
